Misdirection is a Senior Thesis film (CSUN) shot on Kodak 35mm Film. Made as a proof of concept for a larger feature film.

Fantastic work! The main character had a strong believable arc, the plot was tight, and the overall feel was smoothly dynamic. The atmosphere was rich and crackled with life, every scene was packed with colorful imagery. The villians were genuinely evil, and hinted at much darker future plot threads. Most importantly I love the use of real magic during the production. The tricks were executed well, anf they didn't distract from the plot, but rather drew the viewer in. With an idea that could've easily veered toward the fantastical, you all did a fine job of keeping both the film's feet firmly on the ground. Hope to see more from your production crew! Keep up the great work!

Definitely needs more views! You guys used real world magic for most tricks and used them to perfection. I loved this, the story was great and the ending just as good.

great! love it! only thing i'd change is the use of Houdini. I know he's really well known, but he was an escapologist. called himself the 'king of cards' in his early career but didn't make any fame or money that way, because Thurston was much better at it than he was.. so my vote would be for Thurston, who was also more interested in magic as a 'real' phenomenon. I know.. too late right? and the public at large wouldn't give a damn, not having heard of Howard Thurston. but everybody knows the blowhard Houdini, who never stopped telling everyone how amazing he was....
