I was able to learn all the algorithms for beginner cfop in about 2 weeks It's not actually that complex, since F2L can be done intuitively and there aren't many algorithms for 2 look OLL and PLL

I think the creators of the video wanted to show that we should have something that will bring us into balance. She didn't learn to solve it, that was an actual method of solving called CFOP. How i see this is that she learned to solve a rubiks cube as a kid and is just a skill she "forgot", and the cube was there to bring her back some of her chilhood and take her away from every day life problems like missing the train. That's what i took from this video.
