You are actually lucky you get to see the original title. For me, KZbin thinks it has to translate many titles including this one. And I can't seem to disable that. Unfortunately the translation is more often than not just garbage :/ Plus: Even if the title was translated correctly, the video is not. So if I couldn't understand the title in the first place, why even send me here under false pretense? What I'm trying to say is, I have no idea what the title of this video is...

I hadn't watched this in a long time but it used to make me feel serene and calm, especially towards the end. At the beginning of this year I started HRT and I felt a bit down today so I decided to watch some old feel good videos. As the end of the video came along I found myself erupting into tears in a way I can't remember doing since I was a kid. It served as a reminder in what have been difficult personal times that we don't know the future, and a lot is uncertain, but there is always bloody-minded determined optimism and that is a very powerful thing. Exurb1a, I know you’ll never read this. I’ve never met you, probably never will, and to be honest, I’m not even sure what your given name is. I’m sure I could find it with some judicious googling, but I kind of like the abstraction of you as a KZbinr rather than the concrete version of you as a person. Never meet your heroes as they say. That I’ll being said, I wanted to, no, I was compelled to write this. The end of this video, the swelling music, the sublime visuals, the cacophony of contrasting voice overs all culminating in the quiet but incredibly powerful sentence beginning with “misery WAS...” is one of the most powerful and moving things I’ve ever had the privilege to enjoy. I’ve been feeling like real shit lately. I’ve always been depressed, and I periodically go through more intense depressive episodes from time to time, but right now I’m in the midst of one of the worst mental shit storms I’ve yet had to endure. I feel like now that I have discovered the truth. That I have discovered life’s perfect equilibrium. And that equilibrium is pure unbridled misery. But your simple suggestion that one day a dictionary might include a passage that starts with “misery was...” not only gave me a vague hope for an unseen future generation, but a concrete hope for a near future that I may one day experience. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am sitting here on my bed weeping uncontrollably, not just because of this hope, but on a more aesthetic level, I think of the possibility, not too remote, that I may have killed myself last night, which I was seriously considering doing. Had I done that, if nothing else, I would have never got to experience the near religious euphoria I felt when watching this video. Thank you so, so much.

sorry, I'm not Exurb1a, but I just wanted to say please don't kill/ hurt yourself. You're right, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just open your eyes and you will see all the good in the world, all the good in you.

It wouldn't really be "you" they bring back to life though would it? As you said, they'd take a sample of your DNA, not all of it. Meaning the rest of the DNA is produced from somewhere else. So what they're doing is creating a perfect copy of you, pretending that it's you. But it isn't you. It's a copy of you. It kind of reminds me of his video on teleporters.
@grasshopper8901 Жыл бұрын
@@yummydragon8533 what if you were dead and then regain awareness of the new body? You would know that it was you, but no one else could probably say the same. Only you would know, or not, as you may be dead.

As for intelligence though, ive been tested when i was in a psychological clinic. All i can say is that the IQ test they did only goes to 130 and its above that. But thats got nothing to do with intelligence, a medical professional isnt neccessarily intelligent. Hes just supposed to roughly know enough about medicine to send you to the expert thats able to help you for the most part. If im a cancer patient, ill for sure know more about cancer and my situation than a psychologist, if i suffer lifelong clinical depression ill sure know more about that than an oncologist.
