I personally prefer Rudy to Nathan on Misfits - this is probably down to Joe because he's hilarious (and super cute). Also, I think Nathan was a bit of the one dimensional, selfish prick, whereas Rudy is more sensitive deep down. Like Rudy 2 really, who is so sweet - I love Joe's portrayal, he manages to show the differences between the two versions brilliantly.

+Allison Green Agreed. Rudy is more complex than Nathan which was great to watch. However, I bloody loved Nathan. Although I'm not going to say who I prefer, that isn't really the point of Rudy - I think the writers did an excellent job of distinguishing between the two characters, when they could have just used Joe to be a 'replacement' Nathan.

I loved Nathan in Misfits but I love Rudy even more, I've never laughed so much watching a series that is not a comedy, the way Joe deliver's Rudy's lines are bloody brilliant, such a timeless character!

After not being able to see the last 3 Seasons for a few years because I couldn't find it online (thank you Netflix) I wasn't sure how good it would be without Nathan's character, but I absolutely fell for Rudy! Great acting- wonderfully weird character, completely loveable. Hope to see Joe in more things-huge fan now

At first I didnt like rudy because i missed Nathan too much. I now like rudy but i will always miss Nathans humor. Thats probably because Robert sheehan is hilarious and such a nice guy that i want him back. If Nathan and Rudy ever met they'd be great. Nathan would crack a joke and rudy would back it up by telling some hilarious story.

I think Rudy is a bit older and much more funnier than Nathan. I really loved him though, but when Robert left the project it turned out that I don't miss him that much. Joe is a very decent substitute. The further you deepen in the episodes, the harder it will be to "unlike" Rudy, believe me :)

When Rudy was introduced I was a bit skeptical about him but I think Rudy was a lot better than Nathan. Nathan was just funny because he was annoying. Rudy wasn't. Rudy had a lot more to offer

italia cameron unfortunately freeform is going to remake misfits as a American series.i honestly think they'll ruin cause they're "freeform" and one of the reasons Misfits was so good cause it was R rated.freeform will water it down to a PG or PG-13 tv show.but when I heard about this it was months ago so hopefully they cancelled the idea

Goodness , rudy and nathan are to completely different characters, if you were only watching the show for nathan then thats really sad, and you didn't really love the show it self, The four other main characters are still their guys. I loved nathan too , but I'm loving rudy too , they are both amazing actors , who bring different things to the show.

I like Rudy more, personally. Or I guess I should say I like Rudy's potential more? There's more area for depth in Rudy than there was in Nathan. And I feel like Rudy is a more easy-going, silly humorous character while Nathan was kind of a more aggressively, almost mean-spirited humorous character Joe Gilgun is a fantastic actor, as well. I'm excited to see if the show will really utilize his ability.

Despite apparently originally being billed as "Nathan's replacement", Rudy is clearly differentiated so far from Nathan that, despite being cast as the main funnyman, he's still a great character. His split-personality power has made for some inspired exchanges between his two selves. He's a happy-go-lucky guy, with an interesting, amusing and backstory, lending itself towards the reason for his insecurity manifested in his other side. And his lines and flexible facial expressions are hilarious.

Wow... he's spot on about why I'm a little disappointed. I think it takes a real man to admit he knows he's asymmetrical, but it's a well-written show and he seems like a good actor. Eventually people will warm up to his character. Real fans can get used to anything. Idk about you guys, but I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with him.
