Its the perfect point in history where the auto boxes had gotten good and responsive, manufacturers were still making high revving NA engines and the weight hadn't got out of hand.

DCT is not an automatic transmission it’s basically an automated manual transmission

​@@shaunseah757regardless.... its when transmissions started shifting real fast and alot of. the slop was lost. prior to that point the only very fast shifting transmission was ferrari at 50ms f1 single clutch. Even the original dct in the golf 5 and audi tt were a lil sloppy compared to this

I love how with a fast car you always casually manage to go sub 8 with no drama and very little effort. For anyone who doesn't know an E92 M3 stock struggled to go sub 8 on a closed track. Obviously this car is modified and lighter, but still a tremendous showing of skill as always.

Best that I can tell is that 2nd lap was a 7:55ish to 8 minute flat with a track full of traffic! That is BONKERS! Holy crap Misha, it takes a really good driver to get the most out of a car that is set up as well as that one, and I believe you squeezed every drop of go fast juice out of that M3. Blowing by literally EVERYBODY - other BMW's, too many Porches to count, GTI's, a frickin' Lotus, and so many others... VROOOOMMM! gear shift VROOOOOOM! gear shift VROOOOOM! as Misha waves, "thank you bye bye now"

@@blakemoff Every beemer I've owned since the E90, the speedo is 3-4mph 'fast' from the moment the gauge moves from zero, right through the range. I'm sure it's a deliberate margin of safety to protect the driver from speeding fines. If I recall correctly, there is a programmable coding setting for the cluster: Velocity is accurate - Nicht aktiv

He wanted too much for it, and when I looked at the badges, he had painted them with Plasti-Dip. I'm like "You're asking 10% over Blue Book value and yet you painted your trim and badges with plasti-crap?" I passed. Who knows what else he had cheaped out on.

So with the dct when you put it in sport theres an extra option there for even better shifts. I can tell the trans wasn't at its fullest. I can see the dct pressure has one more box up

Misha, I know about a funny, special little car you want to look up in here, but first... V8 is good and all that, but the high pitch exhaust note that can be attained from equal length headers, are missing, not claiming it sounds bad or anything. BMW is superb on revs though, but I still want to create something oddly satisfying to listen to with odd numbers of cylinders, I think 2 superchargers with different size pulleys will bring out the beast and the sound I have in mind when I think about it😁 And this little car I have in mind, it has a tiny little 2 liter V16 and it sounds *A M A Z I N G* Vincent Foucart V16 is what you want to search for, did you know about that one? Guess it's about time I subbed as well🤣
