Post more 300zx content. I’m currently building my 96 tt swapped slick-top and me finding your channel was the best thing today! Love the quality of your content ‼️

Good spot! It is a great splash shield. I have the front wheel well liners from them as well. Shame they don't make them anymore.

I always enjoy these vids, I love cars and consider myself a car guy but not a great wrench so these were very informative for a cat like me.

For a car that has issues overheating, my 91 TT has been awesome for the the 105+ range here in AZ so far. I have a factory equivalent radiator but it only has about 1300 miles on it. Seems to be good though.
@PracticalEnthusiast4 жыл бұрын
Mine never overheated either. But...every time I popped open the hood after a drive and felt that wave of heat, I couldn't help but think the original radiator was a liability.
@kaleljll14 жыл бұрын
@@PracticalEnthusiast I'm glad I'm not the only one that pops the hood as soon as I pull in the garage! Where did you get your radiator? Now you got me thinking....🤔
@petemo944 жыл бұрын
@@PracticalEnthusiast i do exactly the same with the hood. The goal is to dissipate the heat but also save ensure longevity for all of the plastics and electronics

@@kaleljll1 I bought it from Concept Z Performance. They had the best deal on the brackets and radiator after shipping. Check them out!

@@PracticalEnthusiast Good to know. Love Coz and the gang down there. I figured it would be from them or Z1. They have been my main source for parts (for the most part)

I have one on mine and at first my temps were cooler than stock on my NA to TT swapped Z. I have been daily driving it for about 10 months and mine sprung a leak on couple locations. Mishimoto has lifetime warranty so I was able to file a claim and its on its way to me. Make sure not to remove that serial# tag.
@3SGTO3 жыл бұрын
A bit late, but for your next radiator install it's a good idea to tape some cardboard on the faces of the radiator during install. It will really help prevent damaging any (or at least as many) radiator fins!

Great vid! My z has a mishimoto in it now but with no fan shroud, the oem fan shroud fits the mishimoto no problem?
@PracticalEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Yep, it fits just fine!
@ThomasMartin-g3e4 ай бұрын
Did you have to drill holes in the radiator bottom flange to secure the shroud? It seems Mishimoto only provides the top 2 mounting holes for the shroud. No shroud trimming otherwise?
@freddiebrown97083 ай бұрын
Do you need the radiator top mounts. I’ve just bought my rad today. I asked mishimoto and they said it doesn’t need them?

Lol its not bad man. Just watch the wiring, try not to move it around too much since itll be brittle as all hell after 30 years of heat cycles. Have you done all your plenum deletes and egr delete yet?
@kaleljll14 жыл бұрын
Just replaced mine. Not too bad of a job but I have done all the deletes so there is more room.
@PracticalEnthusiast4 жыл бұрын
It's doable without pulling the plenum, but I won't say it's fun :)
@kaleljll14 жыл бұрын
@@PracticalEnthusiast I thought mine was causing the Z to chug to life and die the first couple of times before it would start but it wasn't the issue. There was a broken connector on it so still worth the time.
@verner5404 жыл бұрын
@slicktop 2jz no I haven’t done the deletes yet. @Practical Enthusiast these engines are so cramped, I swear the Nissan engineers were laughing imagining us suffer when serving the motor.
@Sasukebloom862 жыл бұрын
where'd you get your skid plate and fender liners from?

Infamouz Custom Designz. They don't make them anymore unfortunately.

Why mishi over Koyo? I have koyo, seemed to fit well, didn’t have to remove the viscous fan.
@PracticalEnthusiast4 жыл бұрын
They are likely very similar in performance. What sold me on the Mishimoto was the slightly thicker core (53mm vs 48mm with the Koyo), the inclusion of a higher PSI cap, and metal bleed and drain plugs.
