To make a long story short, it keeps junk away from recirculating back into the engine and intake manifold. Definitely recommended for modded cars. Helps longevity of the engine especially direct injection like ours.

Hey man just curious how you actually clean an oil catch can when having your oil changed. Pretty sure Honda would charge extra to do this, if you are taking your car to them for oil changes? Also a separate question...how much horse power does your car have after doing the intake, full exhaust, and tune?

I have a seperate video on how to empty out/clean the catch can. Please check it out. Power wise I am going to Dyno it in the upcoming weeks. Currently my setup is intake, intercooler, catless downpipe, frontpipe, exhaust, and custom tuned by IMW.

Be sure to check your hose where you had to cut the cover. You want to be sure over time that any sharp edges on the cover don't rub or cut through your hose.

What did you use to cut the engine cover and without damaging the engine cover?

Dremel tool or a sharp knife. It's abs so it shaves off easily.

I would guess 99% of running cars with over 200K miles never had a catch can. I'm sure it helps but it's not needed.

If left stock you should be fine. I still recommend doing this since due to how direct injection motors work, it can have build up in the long run.

I was told from my Honda group that that is unnecessary to add to your car just make sure you do you normal oil change and you should be good so I’m second guessing it

Trust me you do. With the oil dilution issue they have, it's recommended. The amount of blow back it grabs it helps maintain a healthier engine and longevity.

Cleaning valve is not an easy thing to do. I think for a regular user, catch can is the way to go.

@@johnhightower9780 direct injection cars are vulnerable so no matter what they do, it's still vulnerable. Do some research to understand it better. This is just to protect the longevity of the engine. I am fully modded so definitely needed in my case.
