No check valve is needed on the outlet before the intake? Why would the accord 1.5L turbo need a check valve but the civic does not require one?

The Civic kit reuses the OEM valve whereas the Accord kit does not.

@@mishimoto thanks for the late reply. there was no check valve in my oem 18 accord hose. I’m repurposing my accord kit for my 22 civic and I’m using the check valve hose. Should I not be using the check valve? Just curious

A check valve is required in some fashion, yes. Otherwise, you will more than likely experience a vacuum leak.
