Mishing tribe is among the most peaceful ethnic group in Assam. They are not into militancy like others and even the demand for 6th schedule is no more relevant. They have totally assimilated into the greater Assamese society.

For more information Miri (Mishing ) main dress is Ge`ro:h and mibu galook but because we Miri (mishing) people's migrated at Assam we started to wear mekela and sindur

Each village of misings has it's own pronunciation like I'm from kamrup but my accent is totally different from misings from lakhimapur even some words didn't matches like we don't say Ta:leng okum
