💗💗💗 Misia (pron. "Mihsha") is one of the greatest singers alive! I'm not into movies so I had never discovered this song, but I liked it a lot! But she's one of those artists who are even better when live, the stage is her natural habitat... I don't know if you ever came across the Japanese channel "THE FIRST TAKE", a must sub for music lovers? On that channel they feature top artists with special arrangements of a song by the artists' choice in a live one take only setting. They invite (or get applications?) by mostly Japanese artists, but there are some "western" artists as well, like recently Avril Lavigne or, during the pandemic a great collab between Japanese girl group "Little Glee Monster" and Pentatonix, the song's name is "Dear My Friend", great choice for a reaction as you know Pentatonix already, in this one you'll get to hear the woman from Pentatonix (sorry, her name has gone on vacation from my brain right now...Kristin?) sing JAPANESE... But what had me think of THE FIRST TAKE was Misia, she's on that channel with two performances both of which are extremely good and exciting, the first one a real tear jerker, an original she wrote some years ago for the victims and survivors of the terrible earthquake in East Japan, and sung in a new arrangement with great live piano in regard of those suffering in the pandemic. The name of the song is "Ashitae" (To Tomorrow) - you'll need a bigpack of tissues for that one, had me down in tears for the first dozen times I listened to it... The second one is a very uplifting one which was written by great young artist Fujii Kaze for Misia, great soul jazz performance also with live piano, that one's called "Higher Love" - please consider a double reaction or two subsequent single ones, first that sad one "Ashitae" and then "Higher Love" to set up your mood again and convince yourself Misia is alright, because in Ashitae Misia is pouring out her whole heart and soul completely to a point of total exhaustion in the end, you might be afraid she gone broke, but no, in Higher Love you'll see her back stronger than ever... I'm sure you'll enjoy both of these deeply, and become a fan of THE FIRST TAKE, so after MISIA you might listen to Little Glee Monster x Pentatonix...
