Misirlou

Misirlou is an eastern Mediterranean folk song by an unknown original composer. #Shorts - The oldest known recording is from 1927 (Michalis Patrinos?). At the 2004 Olympics held in Athens, it was chosen by the organizing committee as the most influential Greek song of all time, performed at the time by Anna Vissi. Another interesting feature of this song is that worshipers of almost all styles of popular music consider it their favorite song. It was used in the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction, several rock bands recorded it (the most famous being the Dick Dale version), it became a favorite song among Serbs (who were astonished when they discovered that it was a Greek song), is used by belly dancers and at Jewish weddings. It also appeared in several video games, such as Guitar Hero II. #shorts

When I was a kid, we used to used clothes pins to stick playing cards in the spokes of our bicycles in order to make them sound like motorcycles (well, to a seven year old, it sounded that way. Maybe Vinheteiro can attach a bicycle to his twelve string and have someone else peddle while he plays “Stars and Stripes Forever”??? :

Not a 12 string though, it is a Brazilian instrument named "Viola Caipira", is a type of plucked instrument used in the past by peasant people in Brazil, and they developed what we call "Sertanejo Caipira" or "Música caipira", wich is a very popular music in the country here. If you like to look it up, you'll be surprised, is a completely new sound and color.

This just feels so right. How many times did someone do this, and the someone else made small improvements on the design until my orchestra teacher has to ramble on for the entire class about the importance of acoustic shape, But the real genius, the true pioneer here, was the guy that did this absolutely psychotic design work. I'm all in, what's it called?

@Kyle Smith check out the guy with the drill playing Miserlou. This is not nearly as good, way too slow and inconsistent. You can play this better with just pick than fishing reel
