🚴♂️ *Experience the Great Glen Way Like Never Before* 🚴♀️
In this adventure, I take on the challenge of riding the renowned *Great Glen Way* in Scotland using a Mirider GB3 folding commuter E-bike. 🏞️
While most adventurers opt for traditional bikes or walking shoes on this Fort William to Inverness 74-mile long-distance route, I've chosen a different path. My goal is to complete the entire trail in a single day, pushing the limits of my folding E-bike. 💪
But that's not all! To ensure my E-bike doesn't run out of power during the journey, I've brought along a trusty ** @EcoFlowTech powerbank**. 📦⚡ These portable chargers will keep my E-bike running smoothly throughout the adventure.
Join me as I capture the stunning scenery, the challenges, and the sense of accomplishment from this unique experience. Whether you're an E-bike enthusiast, an adventure lover, or simply curious about unconventional journeys, this video provides a fresh perspective.
Feel free to hit the *subscribe* button if you'd like to follow along and give the video a thumbs up if you find it interesting. Let's explore the Great Glen Way together. 🌟

Was surprised it sucked so much power for the distance, just shows how much terrain makes a difference, i have done 76 miles to king's Lynn on 2 280wh batteries with no charging, but mostly flat and smooth roads.

Yeah bit of a learning curve. I’ve not had a e-bike display which shows the watts before. I found PAS 2 was around 80w and I would be be going around 9mph. PAS 5 was be 250-280w on the flat going 15mph and up hill was as high a 400w. But I did spent a lot of time on the gravel which I imagine eats battery way more than the road

@@MispronouncedAdventures yeah the odd steep hill, i did the same as you, got off and used the walking assistance, not sure how much it uses but got to be better than 400w lol

I too have a GB3 and found varied terrain and using the gears I can get 24ish miles from a full charge. I find it fun to do rides it is not really built for! Love what you've done in this video. 👍

Definitely a great fun bike on mixed terrain! after I turned out down from PAS 5 to 2 or 3 I got way more range

@MispronouncedAdventures Definitely, I try to stay in PAS 1 or 2 then hit the boost button for the niggly climbs. Spoilt myself and bought a Giant Explorer ebike too. But when away in the motorhome, the GB3 is there for the exploring! 👍

Nice vid, thought to myself did he know about the diversions before setting off hmmmm. Wise choice in following the road from Fort Augustus as that section is hilly as I walked the whole GGW in june as part of my LEJOG, a nice rest being a bit flatter after the WHW lol
@MispronouncedAdventures
@MispronouncedAdventures 11 ай бұрын
I had seen about some diversions, but in the other stupid way, I wanted to leave it as an adventure, so I don’t look into the details too much. Yeah, definitely feel I made the right decision changing from the Great Glen way, and reevaluating for the after Fort August with the Caledonian way

Love it! ..and look forward to the second part too. They are quite amazing bikes really, all be it I didn’t rate the sales experience when I bought my GB3 - out of interest have you had any issues with the MiRider display misting up in the sun? Mine does sometimes but then clears later on. Love the powerbank on the back and charging at the pub and level 5 definitely drinks the juice but it’s sooo tempting to leave it on 5 😊 All the best, David 👍

Glad you enjoyed this silly adventure so far. Sorry to hear about the sales experience you had. I’ve not had any issue with the display misting up in the Sun that would imply to me that potentially distract moisture inside. Oh, it’s definitely tempting to leave it on PAS5 especially if it’s a shorter trip. Some of my fat tyre have batteries, which are almost 1 kW, so I can leave it on max and have it like that for two hours or more. It’s definitely fun that the power bank can directly run on the bike. I’ve got a few plans with this concept of the future.

So my thoughts on your route change were 'noooooo!; as I have ridden that route from Fort Augustus to Inverness and you will be met by a HUGE hill at Glendoe. There is a lovely down hill as compensation though. After that there are still some sharp hill and a long drag along the lochside. Much easier on an ebike though. Looking forward to seeing how you get up that hill. 🤗
@MispronouncedAdventures
@MispronouncedAdventures 11 ай бұрын
Can confirm, large hill! 😂 karma for me was when I started the hill. I remember what it was. because I had driven the road in the opposite direction last year during a cycling race and thought that it would be horrible to ride up 😂😂

OK so I haven't got that excited for some time... Now that I know what an Ecoflow delta two is. Is that the one in the bag? Ahhhhh you absolute legend "Hello Mirider can you charge the battery while your riding it?" "Hmm we wouldn't suggest it but, why the hell not?" Mi rider replied while gently replacing the phone and walking away slowly having very technical thoughts about heat dissipation and lower region proximity. "Of course you can charge this one in the pub in an HOUR, so I'm now going to ride 75+ miles across Scotland on it, in a DAY." I am slightly out of touch with modern tec it would appear. Have been researching Ebike for about six to eight weeks since scrapping my car. You just solved the range problem for me Thank you :) Trailer......

Thanks for watching. I have a River 2 Pro in this one and not a Delta 2. But same idea apply. I’m not sure what the Mirider tech thought when getting sent the question. I asked as some e-bike disable the e-bike when charging whilst others do now. I can’t see many reasons why it would be an issues

For a bike designed for the city streets, it seems to have coped with the trail pretty well! I'm surprised you didn't strap a solar panel to your back to keep the power bank topped up! 😂

Yeah, I was pretty pleased with how it did! It’s definitely not designed as a long distance gravel bike! But sure was fun! I’d of been fair tempted to be fair with solar!

That's a good looking bike,with a crazy stupid price off 2900€. You've to be nuts If you buy this one. You geht same looking bikes for 500-650 € and those have 48 v motors and battery.

That’s the point isn’t it “same looking bikes”. Bikes that look similar but have cheap inferior parts that have an estimated life of two years or so. You pay your money and takes your choice.
