As a person who had 3 attempts to end her life in the past, I did not feel any type of insensitivity in this video, or the term accident offending at all. One thing that bothered me actually was, people commenting how discuseed or annoyed by the fact that she did this costume instead. I honestly do not believe that people who had self harm issues or had attempts of suicide in the past felt this over the top reactions as people do in this comment section below. This is just a costume, and she is just put into an act. you take your time to watch the whole tutorial to just get offended by the some stupid plastic that she puts on her wrists? really? what would you do if you saw my arms in real life then? it might be ironic but, i had told many people that i got these scars from an accident instead of going through all my life stories. what i am trying to say is that, don't get offended so easily people.. really.. people commenting and getting mad about the things that they have never experienced before is so much more insensitive... really.. this. is. just. a. costume. do you get offended when you see "dead" costume all around the streets on holloween? do you go up to them and say "hey, you remind me of someone i lost, this is insensitive!" People.. just let it be..

I agree. I've struggled with self harm for 7 years and I have not on problem with it and I'm not even the slightest bit uncomfortable. I think people who actually struggle with it are okay with it and don't see it as a huge issue. It's the people who want to pretend they have those problems to cause drama that have an issue with this

I am sure this tutorial is amazing. Love you and your videos have been a subscriber for years. With that said there is a small majority of us who find the slit wrists triggering. Not that you are making light of suicide because it is a character but it is very difficult to see pop up in a timeline. For those of us who have delt with self harm, depression, or who have seen the loss of someone who committed suicide it is just very difficult. It saddens me to see people make a comment about that and get told by other commenters to be silent. Personally I can not watch this. Just the thought breaks my heart and effects my spirit in a way I can't describe. With that said can't wait to see what you have next. This was not meant to be a hateful comment but my personal feelings.

+Claudia Avila I'm actually good. Just because I don't like something or because it doesn't sit well with me doesn't mean that I need psychiatric help. I personally do not enjoy seeing slit wrists in my timeline. With that said I like gory movies for the most part I follow lots of special effects muas and do a lot of body painting and effect makeup as well. Slit wrists and slit necks bother me and I should be able to say that and also sick up for the people it actually triggers to relapse without getting a rude comment. My comment towards this video was not hateful or immature but it seems to be that anyone who give an opinion or thought other then "omg I love you this is amazing" replies with a rude immature comment back. I have seen around 5 comments posted about it being triggering for people out of almost 2,000 comments and they receive nothing but hate. This is not what Nicole's channel is about we are supposed to build each other up and not to tare people down.
