Miss International yet the contestants were just representing the 50 or so US states? What is "international" about it?

no there are actually international titleholders that compete in each division. its still an expanding pageant system

Sasha, No offense meant: This pageant is an exercise in futility. Why not just put their money and energy into some kind of charity? Oh, those women are DEAD-SET on being called "international beauty queens" no matter what. OK.

@@abnerasturias6380 they do put time and money into several charities. Have you looked into the website? I personally know alot of the women who have competed in this system and they are CEOs of foundations non profits businesses leaders in their respective communities.

This beauty pageant is --- to me --- nothing but THIRD rate. I was just curious what it was all about. When I watched it, I felt sorry how those women will go to any lengths just to be called "international" beauty queens. Oh well, that is THEIR party. Good luck. Enjoy yourselves!

Abner Asturias I compete In this system and it is so much more than a “ beauty pageant” it’s a family. I get to help the community on a much higher platform than just myself alone and competing is just a perk that comes with it. Yes it does cost money but I can say that I have never felt more joy then knowing that I am helping my community and the people around me. I come from a family where my dad played college baseball and my brother plays college football so I’m around sports constantly. During pageants I get to set that all aside get my hair, makeup, and nails done and just have fun! If I don’t walk away with the crown yes I’m bummed but I know the girl crowned deserves it. I just train and practice harder for next time. And I have met some of the best people I will ever meet through pageants.
