Remember when Sushmita Sen won back in 1994 then Miss Universe India 1995 was the first runner-up in Miss Universe 1995. Also after Lara Dutta won in the 2000 edition of Miss Universe, Celita Jaitley landed as the fourth runner-up in Miss Universe 2001.

My girl moulded her elements so well. She made it vivid , convergent and divergent at the same time. If we look at her previous interviews we can feel that she was just being herself with those sparking eyes and soulful smile. In those few minutes she managed to give it all .The strongest speaker from this year's batch for a reason(imo) I am from Kolkata and when she mentioned about Durga Puja my heart felt so happy that she's introducing our culture globally , Durga Puja is everything for us , we wait for an entire year to celebrate this festival with full bloom , pomp and grandeur . It was declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2021 💐⭐My queen rocks in Multi-D ;) ⭐♥️🇮🇳

I've been watching Miss Universe since the 90s, and without a doubt, India's queens can communicate efficiently and effectively. The 90s was the most difficult decade to win Miss Universe, and only the top performers made the top 10. Of course, a few handpicked queens slipped through the cracks, but the top performers were the ones you saw on the mainstage come finals night. Out of 10 years, only one year (1991) India did not place, and I think she was 11th or 12th place. That speaks volumes about the women they selected to represent their nation. The Miss India organization, like a few others, has to collaborate more with their queens when it comes to design asethics. Let the queen tell you the type of gown she wants to wear and do your best to produce the best version. It only does a disservice when an organization fails to listen to their queens and put her in a dress that you can clearly see isn't suited for her. Without a doubt, Divita was given a dress to wear on finals that wasn't suited for her. The gown looked big and almost heavy with that long train. I don't know Divita's height, but that train made her look shorter. Also, I think her hair should have been in a nice bun to show off her beautiful face in a gown that had so much going on. Those little details are what stopped her from making the top 5. Well done to Miss India for making the top 16 and representing her country well.
