I was in Atlanta during Miss Universe 2019, at the lobby of the Marriott Atlanta Hotel standing in line to get in to the prelims. There was a big crowd of Thai fans watching the live stream of Miss Supranational 2019, and when their girl won they all screamed hysterically and jumped with joy and waved their Thai flags! I was so happy for them! :)

So Indonesia have Puteri Indonesia pagent and they will have 3 winners that the winners will represent Indonesia in Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Supranational. Once you're joining Puteri Indonesia either you place or not, you can't join Puteri Indonesia pagent anymore because it's once in a life opurtunity. So, yes sierra, you right. I think Yana Haenisch would do well at Miss Universe if she gets more training on Q&A and interview. My country (Namibia) is not focussed enough on those things and it puts our girls at a disadvantage.

I can see that Namibians are also getting deep into pageants. I agree with that ,she can do better. These girls Namibia sends to the universe from the local ain't good enough and they atleast need so serious training before even taking part in the national competition.

It appears Supranational judges did what Miss Universe judges used to do, based their final rankings on their overall impression rather relying on just the final question. Peru may have nail the Q&A but the judges still preferred Thailand and Namibia.

Hi Siera, greetings from Indonesia... FYI, in Indonesia, Yayasan Putri Indonesia (YPI/ Putri Indonesia Foundation) hold the license of 3 Major Pageants. The TOP 3 of Putri Indonesia will represent Indonesia in Miss Universe (Winner), Miss International (1st RU), and Miss Supranational (2nd RU). And the most important thing is; you can join the local selection as much as you want, but for the national competition, YPI only give you one chance, whether you win, placed, or even unplaced.

It's so true that Miss Supranational is so unpredictable, especially during q&a, they've changed some things from previous years, but still have a long way to go in terms of their judgement, like they have to take things more seriously and know that pageant fans are not dumb. To become a recognised international pageant, they have to earn that respect by Actually being more transparent and rational with the results.

Because she already competed to represent Indonesia in Miss Universe but got 3rd place instead, that's why she was sent to Miss Supranational, not Universe. They are under same license.

Thailand winning Miss International and Miss Supranational was just like the Philippines back in 2013 when Mutya Datul and Bea Santiago won their respective pageants. Jesica, Indonesia cant join miss universe. She is 2nd runner up of puteri indonesia on 2019. Which is Frederika as winner goes to miss universe, joline as 1st RU goes to miss international. In the puteri Indonesia when u already as winner from the province (or province audition) then goes to puteri indonesia nasional pageant as winner, place or unplace. For the next they cant join again puteri indonesia. But still possible for other Indonesia national pageant such us miss indonesia (world) or miss earth indonesia, but after 2years because in puteri indonesia all the girls get contract with the organization for 2 years.

So once u competed at Puteri Indonesia you can't compete there again in the future, even if u don't win any title at that time. Completely different with Binibining

It’s really one of time thing in Indonesia. Once the girl competing in Puteri Indonesia finals, they can‘t compete again in next following year (thankfully Puteri crown 3 titleholders for MU, MI & MS). Except when she decide to compete in different organizations such as Miss Indonesia (the winner will be representing Indo in Miss World), Miss Grand Intl‘ or Miss Earth Indonesia, after completing 2 years contract with Puteri Indonesia.

You should be appreciated in every competition you have been participating with as a good experience that make you become more stronger and stronger in pageantry. I think Way you mentioned that make it sounds so negative when those bad experience you have had in Miss Supra brought you the potential to make it to Top10 in Miss Universe. I mean Good or Bad is not fair to compare because every moment was experience and lessons for you. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I would have never say anything negative about it and just be Thankful.

Puteri Indonesia is the organization who had 3 licences of Miss universe, Miss iternational, and Miss supranational. The winner of puteri Indonesia goes to miss universe which is frederika, 1st runner up to international and 2nd runner up to supranational. All the contestants who are selected in puteri Indonesia 39 young girls they cannot compete in the next year after. So Jessica can't go and compete to miss universe because she is 2nd runner up in puteri Indonesia. The whole experience of puteri Indonesia is once in the life time. If you already represented your province / state in puteri Indonesia either you you placed or not you can't try for next year. Isn't like miss USA, miss canada, miss Philippines, as long as you not get the crown still have a change to comeback next year. That's why we never seen former Indonesian beauty queen winner competed in international pageant twice.

India was gorgeous. She should compete at Miss Universe. Philippines is a great speaker. Her uniqueness and gift of gab would be appreciated more at Miss Universe. Indonesia was lovely. I think she is better at Miss International but I dont think it is possible. Peru should go to Miss Universe. She should have been 1st runner-up. Thailand deserves her crown. She is really beautiful. I do get what you mean about MS being not as great as MU.

And Yet Miss Supranational Has Been Traveling More Then Miss Universe.... little by little the MS organization is learning to be a better pageant I like that they are different from miss universe cause if all pageant were the same it would get very bored. Miss supranational is very high fashion/supermodel with a purpose just because you didn’t have a good experience doesn’t mean you need to downgrade the pageant 🤷🏽‍♂️ because miss universe 2019 was really LOW QUALITY I was there so I’m sure of those girls had KZbin channel they will talked about there bad experience at MU and there good Experience at another international pageant since a lot of the girls have competed in other pageants before 😘 good day
