In interviews later that week, Allison Brown said she had accidentally seen the card with the names on it (you can see the host waving it around right in front of their faces). Allison saw "Texas" at the bottom, so she assumed she was first runner up. What she didn't see was "Oklahoma" further down on the card, so she was TRULY surprised when she won.

Texas seems to be a friendly very nice girl in her interview, but based on appearance alone no one could look at the two finalist and not see that Oklahoma is far prettier.
