This is one of my favorite evening gown competitions in the pageant's history; from the choice of song, stage setting, and the contestants chosen weren't bad either. P.S. - I LOVE Miss Trinidad & Tobago's gown. She looked extremely elegant and rich! I think she could have walked right off that stage and attended a fancy gala.

Colombia looked like Belle...didn't it though. I think Puerto Rico nailed it. She also looked like a Disney princess, but she was elegant and charming. There was one (was it Venezuela?) who looked like a fitted blanket. Miss India was also nice.

Miss Colombia is ahead of time style-wise, and has beautiful features, though I felt as though she lacked a bit of stage presence during the show. When it comes to Miss South Africa, she seems sweet and humouristic, though I'm not a fan of the way she has drawn her eyebrows, and her dress just feels like a college student's project with unsophisticated details and lots of laces. Miss Canada is not over-the-top, which many pageant girls were at this time. She seems smart and diplomatic, I'm just for some reason not the biggest fan of her gown, I would have preferred something a bit softer colour and shape-wise, though during the mid-90s the judges wanted women who were not the stereotypical kind of girly females, hence a more feminine look would probably have lowered her scores. Miss Trinidad and Tobago is without a doubt my favourite. Wow! She looks stunning with that daring haircut and nails it. She's exotic, she shines with that smile and those eyes, she seems healthy, fresh, natural and doesn't overdo it. Thanks to her minimalistic hair and natural style she's able to wear that puffy ballgown dress without looking over-the-top. Miss Puerto Rico is beautiful, though I feel like she has a bit too much confidence. Her dress looks fairly similar to Dayanara Torres' dress. It suits her colour-wise. Miss Dominican Republic's dress is not the right fit for her. The way she has to walk in it, those small steps, it just doesn't do it. She would not be able to sit in that gown and the slit at the front is too tight and wide. Miss India is wise, which was very important in the contest between 1992-1996, hence she gets far. Look-wise she is not my favourite out of the ten unfortunately. If I was 4-5 months pregnant (which is not allowed in the competition) like Miss Venezuela I would have chosen a less fitted and more flowy gown, as that dress kinda emphasizes her rather big figure. I've read about her gaining a lot of weight during the weeks before the final, and that dress is not the best at covering that. Overall, she does look elegant and sophisticated, though I still feel as though she has a fairly fake presence and facade (which she obviously has by going against the rules). Miss El Salvador was underscored as she didn't stand out as much as the others and the judges back then wanted something different. She is definitely the most sophisticated one of the top ten though, which I'll give her big credits for. That look would have been spot on even today. She will never have to look back and regret that she chose a style too fixed to the 90s. She deserved more points and should have been in the top 6. Miss USA has an amazing personality and is the kind of woman who is loved by everyone, hence she was the right winner, though I would have loved for Miss Trinidad and Tobago to win. Miss USA looks poised and elegant, I just find her style a bit too "non-soft" for my taste. I would have wanted her to just relax and breathe a bit more during the show. In the top 6 question round she knew what to answer so quickly that the cameraman didn't even have time to catch her say her first words. My top 6 would have been Colombia, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, Puerto Rico, El Salvador & USA. Top 3 would have been Trinidad & Tobago, USA and either Canada or El Salvador.
