Curacao wasn't clear to answer the question in English for the finalist interview but she adhered to speaking in English even though her interpreter was standing next to her. so her answer was not good at all, but Trinidad Tobago greatly answered on women's right, of course, in her mother tongue, English. because of the fact, Curacao didn't get into top 3 although she was the best in the swimsuit, evening gown competition.

Curacao deserved to win this, by far the best in evening gown. Check the swimsuit video and see what I mean....check the scores "Herrera" is giving to all delegates, and check how much she was giving Venezuela....9.80 or 9.90 all the time, the rest gets 8.90 or lower. Carolina Herrera is a Venezuelan!

curacao was the best of all in every competiton followed closely by italy, that last one was a little too skinny for my taste, but the judges went crazy giving her 9+ points so who knows. miss usa dress was then and is still today a horrific garment that should be burnt! the question is how come she got the scores she did wearing that "thing" as evening gown? t&t was as bright as a star! love that mix they have there; indian, chinese and african. they produce stunning ladies each year!

Comparen las pasarelas de USA y de Italia, estan seguidas, Usa camina como si estuviera en el mall, e Italia, aunque es una pasarela de modelaje, como quiera luce mas femenina. en traje de noche lo hicieron mejor: 1-ITALY: fue el mejor desfile y proyeccion en traje de noche, alta y elegante 2-Curacao: muy elegante y supo modelar muy bien su vestido 3-Venezuela: espectacular interpretación acorde al tema y muy bien modelado 4-Estonia: sexy y alegre 5-T%Tobago por otro lado el vestido de USA era solo un bikini con un trapo abajo jajaja, la verdad la de USA era bien feíta en todo, la ayudó fue el carisma porque por belleza no hubiera quedado ni en el lugar 50.

Este MU ha sido uno de los más injustos de la historia... increíble que haya ganado USA... A lo más, era para que llegara al Top 6... Miss Venezuela´s answer was stupid, no explanation for such stupidity. However, Miss Venezuela´s answer makes Miss USA neither beautiful nor outstanding for winning. A Miss Universe winner has to be a total package. Miss USA can be spontaneous and "smart", but she is not precisely a beautiful woman. Miss USA 1980 is still widely remembered as one of the most beautiful US delegates to win Miss Universe. This lady from Hawaii is just another winner, nothing to remember.
