Right from the start, Venus Raj of the Philippines was the most applauded. Had it not for a slight imperfection on her choice of the answer for a situational yet hypothetical question in the final q & a, then she should have not fallen into the 5th place and eventually clinched the title and was crowned by then. But her nerves somehow got into her system during that critical round. It was costly for the most rooted delegate that year. She should have been the 3rd Miss Universe from the Philippines. Well, things happen for a reason...and the rest of her unexpected blessings and successes followed thereafter...somehow.
