It was a strong country but up until 2010-2019 when all the contestants started making the cut did it become one of the best if not the best powerhouse of this decade! I thank the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs for bringing up the Jus Saniguinis principle that forced Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and Binibining Pilipinas to reinstate Venus Raj as MUPH 2010. Because had Nicolette Henson, her replacement at that time, was unplaced in MU 2010, you would've seen a lot of Filipina turned their backs on Binibining Pilipinas and join other organizations like Miss Earth Philippines.

Do find black women attractive? There have only been 6 black MU's I think there should be more and I'm sure there will. I think the Philippines is the most obnoxious & racist country regarding MU. 2010 and also 2011 has the most interesting semi-finalists. Most of the girls are not from a country that are known to be competitive. Philippines before 2010 hasn’t made yet to the semi-finals since 1999, USA didn’t make it to the semi-finals, which is very rare and most of the girls are from Europe, that are not well-known to be powerful (I think Spain and France are known there to be the bests in Europe). 2011 has the most interesting Top 5 Finalists (Angola, Ukraine, Brazil, Philippines, China)

It also feels poetic knowing that after the Philippines failed to make the semis in the 2000s decade, Venus Raj would then beat U.S.A. and Venezuela (the 2 winningest countries in Miss Universe history) for the last spot in that year's Top 15 and go on to spark her country's ongoing semifinal streak in the competition and their best decade ever in global pageants.

Miss Universe is just an ordinary typical international pageant for us Filipinos, it has been 10years of unplacement for Philippines in Miss Universe until Maria Venus Raj surprised us all out of nowhere she rose up.. i wonder what could have happened if Venus got dethroned from her National title.. BPCI had there karma here, Venus' placement slapped them like literally. this was the start of glorious Philippines placement in Miss Universe, 10 glorious years of Miss Universe placements with two wins.

Well, the Venus Raj saga could've been the last straw that broke the camel's back for Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and Binibining Pilipinas. Had Venus Raj been dethroned and their replacement Nicolette Henson was unplaced, a lot of Filipinas would've turned their backs on Binibining Pilipinas forever and join other organizations like Miss Earth Philippines because of their shady dealings. The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs was the main factor in forcing BPCI to reinstate Venus as MUPH 2010 because of the Jus Saniguinis principle in the Philippine nationality law.
