A lot of people argued that Miss Philippines should have won that year. Well, I beg to disagree on that. Janine Tugonon’s answer was too common to the other contestants and even Miss Universes. Judges may be wanted to hear something new and striking aside from hearing that she can inspire people despite language barrier. Her answer has been used by the other contestants a long time ago and therefore, she does not have originality at all. Miss USA’s answer was too humane during that time. Comparing to answers of Miss Australia who answered against body shaming, Miss Brazil who answered about wearing swimsuits as a sign of wearing confidence too, Miss Venezuela who answered about law creation, Miss USA’s answer was on point and humanely honest.

Olivia Culpo: Para mi es una de las mejores bellezas faciales de los últimos años (mis grandes rostros favoritos: Demi, Ximena y Olivia). Además tenia una personalidad atrayente, relajada sin tanta presura o acartonada. Creo que se vio mejor en su nacional; más bella y convincente. Su falta de armonía entre rostro y cuerpo es lo que me distrae y también su falta de preparación en la parte de pasarela (aunque va con su belleza de chica de universidad relajada y divertida) y su traje no es de mi total agrado. Considero que la ganadora de esa noche debió ser la Australiana. We really literally got robbed in Miss Universe in 2012. Like in Miss World in 2016. But Thank you to IMG for correcting and giving us a fair game these past years. Everything for the past 5 years were just so fair and excellent for all the countries joining Miss Universe.
