Catriona, Zuleyka & Zozibini were the best looking gowns. But Dayana Mendoza’s performance for me, was the best Evening Gown presentation in the history of Miss Universe. But I would like to make a shoutout also to Oxana Fedorova’s gown (MU2002). Even though it looked like bed linens, she carried it with such class & poise. And also, Jennifer Hawkins’ gown (MU2004). The moment she came out in that earth green sequined gown, I knew at that point she was gonna win.

I love all of these gown. But my personal bias goes to the top 3. Zuleyka's : Thai fans called it 'Chain of affection โซ่เสน่หา', one of the memorable gown. So unique and sooooooo dramatic. The way she turned and the song in the background is just perfection. Dayana's : Yellow is the color of joy(Jeanie's voice). It look like another gown you can find on the shop for me. But with Dayana it is so unique! With the song 'We got that magic, yeah we got that magic' I was like c'monnn galll. I tried to copy her twirl, but failed lol. Catriona's : I won't describe this gown much. Just iconic, her turn, her feeling, her presentation. The moment she came out my mind was like 'Okay besh, we got the winner, I can sleep now' lol.

Hi everyone, without bias nor prejudice, this is my ranking of TOP 6 Best Evening Gown from 2005 - 2019. 1. Miss Universe 2018, Catriona 2. Miss Universe 2016, Iris 3. Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka 4. Miss Universe 2014, Paulina For me it is hard to decide on the Top 6, even harder to put who should be in Top 2 (trust me I have to examine different pictures of Catriona's and Iris's gown to decide who's on TOP) , but I believe my ranking is pure and free of others' opinion.

My personal favorite is definitely Amelia Vegas gown cause even up to this day you can see some gown kinda inspired to hers. But since it's out of the topic. 1. Zuleyka, very iconic. A gown that can stand still tru test of time. 2. Zozibini, the only one in 15 years that a gown over took, finnish the job and grab the title of MU. 3. Dayana, is still the best yellow gown in MU 4. Catriona, its just unique 5. Iris, I believe that in years brazilian representative gowns where the best but her gown is beyond Raissa Santana by inch.

I think the gown becomes stunning or beautiful only if it suits the wearer and the wearer carries it well. Because of this reason, I think the best gown of any Miss Universe winner so far is the one worn by 2006 or 1973 winner, Puerto Rico's Zuleika or Philippines' Margarita Moran.

Iris Mittenaire's prelim gown looks much simpler yet more unique and striking. Her finals gown is nice but a lot of them (top 3 included) wore the same 'nude' color and shade so it kinda looks all the same. :)
