Miss USA BEST evening gown walks (2019)

Kansas’ styling was really spectacular and as much as I enjoy Sherri Hill, I don’t ever want to see an all Sherri Hill gown parade EVER AGAIN. I can’t imagine how much more entertaining evening gown would have been had the contestants really had their choice of designer.

Dani you should be a judge for the Miss Usa pageant or Miss Universe pageant. You got good taste in fashion and were spot on regarding the gowns. Have you ever thought of applying to be a consultant with Miss USA or the Miss Universe pageant being a former beauty pageant contestant. You got some great ideas,and are very personable. You would be a great candidate to be a judge or a consultant. You should team up with Nia Sanchez former Miss USA who also has a blog. You can also invite guest speakers, maybe former Miss USA and other beauty pageant contestants. Might be a business opportunity for you to cash in on your experience as well as help other future contenders.

Although this class was facially stunning, the walks didn't wow as in year's past.

I agree. Hopefully we will see more powerful walks in the Miss Universe pageant 2019, later in December.

Miss Arkansas is very telegenic (most amazing eyes) ; I love Miss Kansas ' s costume (wow!) ; Miss New Jersey (unusual face); Miss New Mexico ' s costume ( wow!) Most contestants chose to wear white dresses. I like when contestants were coloured dresses like yellow, blue, red etc.

I just started doing pageants and did my second one day before yesterday I almost won but my 6 yr old niece won, (she’s also won like 500 crowns) but I was really proud of myself in the end because I kept getting compliments on my walk by the judges and the miss (and runner ups)of my city

Florida’s dress wasn’t very appropriate and should have covered more of her crouch area, no wonder she didn’t win. Also love from Virginia and thanks for including my state!!! No hate about the Miss Florida dress!!!

I feel like some pageant contestants (in general) are afraid of color, or they think it’s not “sophisticated” enough. The only thing I’m seeing is gold, silver, champagne, neutral, or WHITE. The amount of white in evening gown... Which is weird since the last three Miss Universe winners wore color in evening gown. Whenever someone where’s a vibrant color, my mind remembers them more. Idk, that’s just my opinion

I know what you mean. I think it's that a lot of the pageant designers best pieces are in a metallic or white. I've noticed that when I've shopped for gowns, some of the most competitive where in white and metallics.

Texas felt like She was competing for Miss Teen USA I felt her dress was the least amazing.... I would have now put Maryland in there.....I forgot all about Mississippi....Beautiful gown.... I will argue Connecticut had the best Gown, I also loved her adding the turn in there. I would have Swapped Out Wyoming for Louisiana, Again Louisiana gown not my favorite but not as powerful... I would also swap out Texas completely for North Dakota in gown contest.... I will assume Massachusetts was too sexy for you? Like Miss Albana Universe??

I wasn't wowed by gowns this year because of the agreement they had with Sherri Hill that everyone would wear her. So I had to be more lenient on styling this year. CT's turn worked really well for her. I wish she wore her hair down. I'm blanking on ND right now. This is super particular but I would have loved a softer brow on her. They were so distracting for me. When you consider that Miss USA is the face of a brand, you don't want any one facial feature to stand out more than the others. I would have like a more toned down walk too.

@@DaniWalker I think if CT wore her hair down, it was going to make her look older than she is because of the style and cut of gown... she was really one of 2 who wore blue which worked in her benefit ....... Acacia also said on IG about her gown hair choice was for the fact she doesn't have the strongest hair so to maintain high glam she went with that....I can say the bun could be a touch thicker.... North Dakota was a sleeper in this contest with D.C......I enjoyed the fit of ND gown, she stood out a bit more in Her red gown than Arkansas.....I loved the marcel wave style for her.... I love how particular were getting, The brows were less distracting than the lip fillers and over use of lipgloss....a few gave me duck lips on stage which was really distracting... I also can agree unless you can take all that makeup then dont push it.... I also want to bring up Georgia, who was left off both your swim and gown lists.... i agree with swim, it was resting but Gown she was stronger than North Carolina in my opinion....maybe the flow out of the cape or that ice blue color but she was forsure top 5 in that phase.....Georgia may have come off either too plastic, dead pan, or basic in personality.....I did find her extensions a bit dry...... MASSACHUSETTS was sexy her eyes were much, but that gown hair styling was very nice but I agree with you..... This segement was way too miss America like for me, Sherri styles didnt help... i perfer Vera Wang, Coco Vega, Valentino, Tony Bowls, Jovani, and Lhulier personally for GOWN competition....

I love Miss Arkansas the best. Something about those Southern Belles. Most of those women have amazing enchanting eyes with a flare of mystery in them. I like women with a flare of mystery in their eyes. Blue and green eyes are cool. Green eyes are the rarest. Only 2% of the world's population have green eyes. The most important feature in a woman is her heart followed by amazing eyes, then her smile and then her immaculate dress.

As far as I know, the gowns are sponsored by Sherri Hill. I don't know if they give the contestants a budget for the gowns.
