Ghana's administrative structure is this way; Country is Ghana, Capital Accra. We have regions( states in US), Districts (provinces). there are 10 regions each with its capital and in each region, there are districts. Each district also has a number of towns and villages.

I really truly appreciate your video. I teach my kids that stuff does not make you. We are minimalist and only get stuff when we need it. It is important to appreciate each other more than stuff. Society teaches that stuff matters.. that is so contrary to what we are teaching our kids.. we teach them the people matter, your relationship to others matter... how you help people matters.

Thank you sis, yes you do such a great job with your girls. Society poisons our minds into thinking things that are not true. Relationships matter most. Thank you for watching. Much love!

Hello Michelle, u are 100% right. I'm Italian and I have been to Ghana. I noticed same things. People, kids are all happy, industrious, they have nothing, but they are very happy. I was shocked to see that. I've been twice and I love it every time. I felt like a white fly, everyone was staring at me, but I did not care much. I loved your vlog very much. One Sunday I went at the Labadi beach, lot of young people, music, dancing; power went out but everyone continue to dance with no music, only drums. No one care power was out. I will visit again soon.

great video. i believe that the way you present these points tell a whole lot about you. i have read some others say they same things about Ghana in a way that makes you want to punch them in the face. I don't think you were spinning anything. You are just so positive and sweet and genuine; and that came through very clearly in the beautiful way you told the story of your visit. thanks much, and I look forward to more videos from you.

We are sending people to help in 2017. Some are heading out now. Thank you for this video. We love our people too much to sit back in the crib of feces and blood stained sheets called america. Admittedly - when one of our contributors made the leaders of our group aware of your channel and we heard your speak we initially assumed you may be a typical spoiled american black woman. SOOOO glad to hear you are more spiritual than superficial and it is a blessing to have been directed to your page.

You have a very wise head on you. I spent 7 weeks in Ghana last summer visiting friends and volunteering near Koforidua. I saw and experienced many of the things you spoke of. I saw people and children in our village with literally nothing ... people sitting and cooking outside mud houses in the dirt. From the rich western perspective (I'm white UK middle aged male) that takes some getting your head around. But the kids who came to our village camp were so happy ......... just so damned happy - they didn't know what they didn't have so they didn't worry about it. The villagers welcomed us and accepted us wherever we went. In the more tourist areas of Cape Coast or Accra you get people trying to sell you stuff etc but out in the suburbs of Kumasi or in Koforidua it doesn't happen. People would come up to you to chat - interested in you, and that was a pleasure I took from my visit. I have several good friends there now and I long to go back. If anyone out there reading this is considering going (whatever your motive) but is anxious, don't be, heed the medical precaution advice and go, you won't regret it. Wonderful wonderful people, wonderful country. Enjoyed your video - thank you

My daughter is 9 and I am ALWAYS telling her to be grateful and thankful for the things she has because there are SO MANY people that would love just to have shoes on their feet. She is an only child and she doesn't have to WANT for anything and I allow her a lot ONLY because she does extraordinary in school. I'm from Detroit but we live in Vegas every other summer she goes to Detroit to spend the summer with dad and his family she hates Detroit because she was born in Vegas, but she loves her family there. They live COMPLETELY different from how we live and she doesn't have the luxuries she's use to at home, her experiences are totally different from what she's use to because it's ALOT Of them in one house and they don't have much or do a lot but go outside or to the park but she adjusts to the environment. I told her we are not rich but I'm sure you can see the difference. When she turns ten I will be signing her up with me to volunteer at a place for homeless youth. Awesome vid 💯💯

You are right in your observations. There's more to being than material possessions. Most of the troubles we have in the world are the result of obsessions with power and acquisition. As Proverbs 15:16 (KJV)states: "Better is a dinner of herbs and love thereof than a fatted calf with hatred."

I loved Ghana, however Ghana has some serious issue too. Tribalism is just as hurtful as racism and the drastic gap between the rich and poor is astonishing. With that being said, the most difficult part of Ghana for me was the "house girl" in the homes and children working and begging on the streets! The people are very loving and fun, but I had a few struggles as a westerner. The time situation was quite weird, the different times were often given for one event (e.g. What time does the party start? Reply, 5:00,5:30,6:00) I saw soooo much potential for the country and hopefully my husband and I can relocate one day--the good definitely out ways the bad!!! Every person of color should visit Africa-- I promise you will won't regret it! Oh, the word abruni should be abolished!!!! Lol!

Cant stand if when people say poor people are happy! Do you think poor people are not suppose to smile and be happy at times? Im sure those poor people would be even happier with a better home and more money. And then you have a nerve to use God's game, if God takes care of them like they do you, how about you trade places with them, how about that. People use the they are happy excuse to make them feel better, how about throwing them a couple hundred bucks.

I have watched a few clips put up by people who are either expats or are children or grand children of expats.By & large yours is the most honest clip I have seen. The great majority show the Kempinski or Moevenpick hotels,Labardi beach & restaurants serving non Ghanaian food & they claim that this represents the true Ghana which as you & I both know is so far from the truth its ridiculous.I would take issue on one point & that is you state its good to see black people in power which I totally agree with. The problem is that since 1957 the economy has been driven into the ground by corruption & poor economic policies which is part of the problem with the power supply. On one hand Ghana,s favorite son was a hero in bringing Ghana to independence but his economic policies were awful.Of course he was not ousted for his handling of the economy but his fatal mistake of meddling with the military.I have traveled to other African countries mainly in the South & have had a fantastic time .My first visit to Ghana was last Christmas & yes like you I got frustrated but had a great time & plan to go back again at the end of the year. Thanks for your honest portrayal of your country & may I suggest you think of going back for good.
