My hand is quite square in overall shape, so, I think a square or rectangular shape suits my hand best, not oval as previously thought. While cushion or elongated cushion is lovely, I think, as initially thought, emerald cut stone with a small stone either side. Dazzle ! Your choice 👌

Yes, if your goal is to accentuate the squareness of your hand, a squarish shape would help draw attention to that feature.

Have you looked into the Jannspauls ultra white series diamonds they have, which feature super ideal cuts on both Cushion and Ovals featuring 8 hearts and arrows eliminating all bow tie looks similar too super ideal round cuts. I haven't found anyone in the USA that sell that level of craftsman ship cuts on the oval or cushion.

I would recommend 4 tiger claw prongs... if it is a larger oval 5+ carats you can do the double tiger claw (Harry Winston style) and it works well, added security.
