I’m about to watch your video on reverse dieting because I’m sure I’ve slowed my metabolism down sooo much from yoyo dieting… But I’m so afraid part of reverse dieting is gaining weight lol. 😅 Guess I’ll see! Thanks for all you do!

I completed my reverse diet over 5-6 months. I got my metabolism up to 2600-2800 calories a day. I’m SO strong and healthy now. I feel like my fat loss journey is much easier now. It’s not fast but it has definitely been super sustainable

Totally random, but the green top you’re wearing in the beginning of the video is a great color for you!

Is there anyway you could do a video about how to stay healthy while working night shifts? Love your content!
@molasorrosalom48465 ай бұрын
I worked the midnight shift, you pretty much have to buy blackout curtains, a sleep mask, use old clothes to blot out the light from under your door. Make your room as dark as possible, and make sure you're actually sleeping during the day. 7-8hrs.

Meal prep and the above comment! Getting a sleep mask and ear plugs helped soooooo much!

I just talked about this in the Live Q&A I did in the Holistic Fitness Community! The replay is available to watch in the forum. You can get access to it at www.holisticfitnesslabs.com/community

Why aren't you working out at the gym? If it's because of life, I understand. Hope you're doing well.

I’m in a more stressful transition in my life right now so I backed off the workout intensity to give my body space to process!

This is honestly not something I consider myself an expert in so I wouldn’t be comfortable making generalized content about it right now. I do hope to one day be an expert in it but today is not that day unfortunately haha

LOVE your content and everything you stand for. I'm currently on a whopping health journey as I recover from almost 20y disordered eating and get so much inspiration. Do you have any more suggestions for things to add to water on a fat loss journey?

Your meals look aahhhhhhmazing 😍 I also drink my kombucha in a wine glass 🍷 ✨ I am about to embark on a reverse diet, and I’m curious about how long is recommended? Planning on doing a 12 week reverse diet and then doing a 6 week cut for a a couple cycles and I want to make sure I am giving enough time for my body to be in that surplus.
@MissFitAndNerdy5 ай бұрын
The duration of a reverse diet depends entire on your your, your history, and how your body is a dialog responding during the reverse diet itself. For some people it can take 1 month, for others it can take 6 months. You shouldn’t start off by setting a goal duration but rather let the goal itself dictate your duration. And then you don’t want to go into a deficit right after a reverse diet as this will undo all your reverse dieting progress. You need to take time after your reverse diet to let your body establish its new baseline. I cover all of this in depth in my course Reverse Dieting 101! I’d highly recommend registering if you want to embark on this process and make sure you do it right the first time :) www.reversedieting101.com

Great video, as usual! I would love to hear a video on HRV. Mine is really low, and one of the things that is supposed to increase it is high intensity exercise. So, I'm trying to increase my intensity, but stress is also bad for HRV, so at what point is it too much or not pushing enough? Also, I'm in my 50s - so I'm going slow so I don't injure myself :).

How did you feel on the Animal Based diet?
@MissFitAndNerdy5 ай бұрын
Honestly I didn't notice a difference. I might not have given it long enough to see a huge difference because I got gut health test results back that showed that my "normal" diet is super optimal for my gut so there was no need to restrict to an animal based diet. I may try it again though because I'm getting desperate lol

Does preparing for a show mess up your body or can you to it healthily?
@MissFitAndNerdy5 ай бұрын
No matter what, the last few weeks before a show will not be healthy. You have to get down to an unhealthy body fat percentage for competition so there’s no way around it. That said, I think you can prep for a competition in a way that does minimal to no long term damage. It just takes more time/effort/discipline

MissFitAndNerdy!!! Remaining on the topic of dieting, I’ve been rewatching your videos on reverse dieting and was hoping you could please help me to better understand this concept: is there a limit to reverse dieting before you just place yourself in a calorie surplus as a petite? I seriously look up to you as one of my biggest motivators as a fellow petite watching you eat more than 2,000 calories!!! I’m ending a cut and was hoping to gain some clarity before I reverse diet! Thank you so much for your time, hoping to look into reverse dieting 101!
