@thepurpleclassics4 жыл бұрын
Eric GoodLife Johnson Thank you! 😊 Yes, Ghana is generally safe. But as always when travelling in a country you’re not so familiar with, it’s best to be with someone you know or a trusted person who lives there - just makes things easier. I’m from Ghana so it’s not a scary place for me. Pretty peaceful ppl.

How is the cost of living in Ghana.
@thepurpleclassics6 жыл бұрын
It varies between locations, styles of life and what you intend to do there. Accomodation is probably one of the most expensive expenses. Travel will also depend of type of transportation - trotro being cheaper than Taxi and Uber. Local food is cheap; higher rates for high end restaurants and bars. Would recommend looking into further.

Instead of the Ghana government cleaning the area around the Castle(A prime Real Estate), have it developed by private investors to add to the Ghanaian tourism, they have rather allowed these fisherman who do not care about cleanliness and hygiene turn the beaches and the area into a cesspool of filth. This area has never been clean since the 1960s as I recall, nothing has changed.

Our leaders have no foresight to even know that Cape Coast and all its history, the monuments, castles and forts could be a massive revenue generation for the government of Ghana or the City of Cape Coast. Cape Coast is never counted into consideration in any large scale government development and neither the regions other than petty projects This is the more reasons why various regions of Ghana should force for partial autonomy from the Ghana government through parliament to develop themselves by electing their own regional commissioners, collect taxes and seek out private investments into their regions independently from Accra? Why can't any of the leaders see this baffles me. Everyone is waiting to be developed from Accra? that will never happen. Ghana is not Accra, yet all the best developments happens in Accra at the expense of the various regions. The government is stretched thin.
