This is my favorite first essence! If you follow it with hydrating toners, chefs kiss... everything you put on after is more effective, seriously. I quite enjoy the natural scent, there is no added fragrance. The big difference between the this one and the I’m From, is the Missha essence is double fermented. That’s why this one is a FIRST essence. Keep trying it, I think you may change your mind😊

I started using this essence a few days ago and I'm LOVING it so far. I actually ADORE the scent? 🤷‍♀️ To me it's a very light, herbal/powdery scent (the ingredient's natural scent as there's no added fragrance) which doesn't linger at all. My oily, redness prone skin really seems to like this - it gives an immediate soothing effect and light hydration. More viscous toners and serums etc can easily be layered over the top if more hydration is needed. The extract is also meant to be rich in antioxidants and amino acids. It's summer here right now and very humid so the refreshing feel on the skin is just what I need.

It's so funny you commented on this, I took a break from this but pulled it out again last night and it really is soothing. I wasn't used to the scent at first but now I've grown used to it and even appreciate it a bit. Gave my skin a good boost of moisture while still being light enough to fit into my routine.

My skin seems to really like Mugwort, especially in the winter. It just feels very soothing. I love the Missha Artemisia as a first treatment essence before a hydrating toner. Not sure how it works, but it makes the toner that goes on over it feel much richer. On its own, I feel like it would just evaporate and not be very hydrating. I’ve also used the I’m From essence, which smells equally strong, but more like wet, mossy dirt and less like some kind of off brand men’s cologne. I guess the smells must come from the variety of Mugwort itself, since neither product has anything else in it. The I’m From is also a little thicker and it’s meant to go on over toner. So much to remember! I love the I’m From Mugwort mask as a shower mask to prevent trans-dermal water loss. I reordered the sample size from Wishtrend because I love the little tube and have zero interest in a giant jar of goo. That stuff has weird pulpy bits in it, so I don’t think it would transfer well to an airless jar. I don’t suffer from acne or redness, which are the main things mugwort is used to address, but I’ve fallen in love with the I’m From samples I’ve received and now I’m loving the Missha essence.

Here’s a K beauty channel I really like that did a comparison of the two essences: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZq2YaSFhpqejaM ... she’s careful about fragrance and essential oils, which are hard to stay away from in K Beauty. Both essences are actually ferments (and not fungal acne safe). I think she corrected herself in a later video.

Very fascinating, until this product I had no idea there was so many different types of mugwort, and they all seem to have slightly different properties. I'm so excited for the I'm From products I ordered to arrive so I can compare them. 😃😃 I picked up they're Vitamin Tree Water Gel last month and in really liking the texture of it, it has a slight scent but it goes away fast. The texture is just so during l soothing.

No BS Beauty - I’ve had the vitamin tree water gel as a sample. The texture is so nice. It would be a great product in summer. I also got a sample of one of Wishtrend’s Natural Vitamin 21.5% sheet masks, which is also vitamin tree, and that was the most soothing/moisturizing sheet mask I’ve ever tried. I’m kinda trying to avoid buying sheet masks because of the trash factor, and I was so bummed when I realized Wishtrend’s other products in that line are full of citrus and other garbage. I would be all over an ampoule with the same formula as the sheet mask. Oh, and the I’m From Vitamin Tree mask is super gross. Smells weird, oxidizes and dries out, and I couldn’t really tell what it was supposed to be doing to my face. All these plants are confusing. vitamin Tree is the same plant as sea buckthorn, but the western varieties and the eastern varieties are different.

Mugwort isn’t the most exciting, but it’s great for calming and soothing! I use the I’m from mugwort essence and the smell is pleasant...earthy and goes away quickly. Thanks! 👍🏻💕

I’m using Hangul 3 year fermented Mugwort atm, and it’s so good. Chok chok as they say in Korea. No scent I’ve noticed 🥦🥬🙊 The I’m From is talked about a lot, the Mugwort mask by I’m from is perfect for irritated skin days and has a slight earthy scent. 🤗

I currently use the essence at the moment and I'm enjoying it. I find that the scent doesn't last more then a minute on my skin and I kind of like the scent. First time I used it I was taken a bit aback by it, not knowing what it would smell like. To me it kind of smells like wet autumn forest with a bit of mushrooms, it takes me back to when I was mushroom foraging with my grandmother as a child. I do find it moisturising and soothing as I find at the end of the day, using the timeless serum leaves my skin feeling a little hot late at nigh before I do my nightly routine. I use it twice before my toner, and I find it prepares my skin nicely for the rest of my routine. Yes I know that toner goes on before the essence 🙄😁, but I find it works better for me in that order.

I think you made a very good point. More than anything I think I was more surprised with the scent since I wasn't quite expecting it. I'm excited to keep using it, I like to use it like a traditional toner. I can't wait for the I'm From products to show up to try them out! 😃😁

@@swedishlina the missha is actually more of a FTE, first treatment essence, so it's meant to go on before a hydrating toner, hence why the texture is so light compared to traditional essences like the I'm From. I don't believe these rules are hard and fast anyway, so whatever works for you!

I LOVE mugwort anything and I’ve tried out the I’m From mugwort essence and love it. I also have the Isntree mugwort ampule but I haven’t opened it yet. I’ve noticed a lot products with mugwort in them can’t get quite pricey. 💕💕💕

You're right in that the type of artemisia used is a different species than that of I'm From, but artemisia is not a type of mugwort. Rather it's used interchangeably, artemisia is the genus name of the mugwort family of plants. I don't mind the scent as I find it pleasant, it's fragrance-free so the scent is just from the extract. I do prefer the thicker texture of the I'm From as opposed to the FTE, I've also been curious about the I'm From mugwort cream..

The Bring Green Artemisia Serum helped sooth and heal my skin so fast after a long-lasting reaction to a sunscreen. I personally find that mugwort extract works better at healing than centella or propolis.

@@syoro8954 no I haven't, but I'm using the artemisia essence. It's nice, light and hydrating but my skin is doing fine so I can't tell if it's good at healing my skin or not lol

The I’m From was more hydrating on my skin and I loved it but when I tried the Missha essence, oh boy. It was love at first spray lol it immediately cooled my skin and dissipated some of my redness. I love how you described the smell as honey bourbon bc that’s exactly what I thought too.

Im using Im from mugwort essence and it doesn't have sweet scent it has a very herbally calm scene u should give it a go!

As soon as I saw the color of the box I knew it had something to do with mugwort. Dark browns and greens seem to be used by all k-beauty brands for mugwort products. I've also tried the Isntree mugwort clay mask and it helps a ton with inflammation from acne. I sometimes will use it as a spot treatment.

I'm just shocked that I haven't tried anything with Mugwort before. It's like.... "Where have I been?!?" Probably shopping a bit too much at Sephora. It's going to be a tough year for them since kbeauty is really exciting be lately. I've found some of my favorite brands of all time in kbeauty and they are more affordable and effective than so many things I've already tried. Klairs 💕 Cosrx, Purito, I'm From, Iunik, Scinic, Wishtrend... I could go on and on 😍

Nothing before had worked so fast on acne inflamation as that mask did except for facials I would get from an esthetician I used to go to. I was blown away. I'm thinking of getting the I'm From mugwort cream to try out! Or maybe the Isntree mugwort ampoule? I'm not sure yet but they both seem really good. I look forward to your reviews on these products if you're planing on doing them! And yea there are so many kbeauty brands with better and more affordable products than sephora! I havn't shopped there in 2 years and doing just fine without them.

I ran into trouble with the Artemisia essence this morning ... I guess I usually let my moisturizer soak in for a few minutes before I put on sunscreen, which gives the smell a chance to dissipate. Today I was in a rush and I put Drunk Elephant Umbra on right away. That stuff is pretty oily, so I think it sealed that scent in and I can’t get rid of it. It’s bad...One of my doggie clients normally tries to lick the Umbra off my face, but she took one sniff of me today and decided to pass. 😂🐕

The other day you had a video that had me cracking up, that you CAN move your face, and you did say you do not do Botox (which I thought you did) SO... can you tell us WHAT is your daily routine??? Product breakdown for morning and night? AND what are the products you feel changed your skin and you can live without, etc!! So... the single biggest thing I've done is microneedling. I think this has made the biggest difference in my skin- it has added firmness, plumpness, and help with fine lines. I do this about every other week. My other holy grail products are 1. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum. I've been using that for over three years and I haven't found anything that can compare to it. I highly recommend checking it out, it's an amazing serum for dry, normal, or oily skin. 2, The Drunk Elephant Protini Cream is amazing, a great dupe for it is the Acure Radically Rejuvenating Whipped Night Cream. 3. The Timeless Vitamin C Serum is one of my favorite vitamin c products out there- super affordable, well packaged, and highly effective. 4. The Tule Acne Clearing and Tone Correcting Gel is my favorite exfoliant, gentle yet effective and I can use it every day. Other than my routine I still credit most of it to microneedling, if you haven't tried it I highly recommend at least looking into it.

Ooooh!!! I'm SO excited to try the donkey milk, 😄😃 You're always too sweet! Winter has been pretty mild but this week it sounds like it is going snow every day this week, and get a bit colder. Someday moving somewhere that doesn't get below freezing would be so nice. Lincoln is so skinny I always have to dress him up before I let him outside in the morning, otherwise he gets so cold. There have been turkeys in our neighborhood lately so Lincoln loves to be outside and stare at them. I tried to put some boots on him so his paws didn't get so frozen but he couldn't walk in them. 😂😂 He just stood there awkwardly, it was kind of cute though.

Literally was patting this on my face when I turned your review on.😅 I had to go and smell it a couple of times because I've never detected an ordor.🤷‍♀️😅 I've been layering this with other hydrating toners/essences (7 skin method) but I don't love it. It's just ok, not even that hydrating. I'll use it up but have already decided to not repurchase because it doesn't compare to some of the others I have and love.

This does have a very light scent, but not nearly as strong as the Mugwort mask did. If the Essence scent isn't strong for you then I think you shouldn't have any troubles with the missha essence.

I was really surprised how strong some of the Mugwort products were. It's a strong herbal scent. I noticed this with the missha and I'm From Mugwort products. The Isntree Mugwort products didn't have as strong a scent so if you try anything I'd recommend trying the ones from them.
