I want Sarasalan to return. I've always wanted a Super Luigi Land kind of game where Luigi goes after Daisy. It would be funny to see how Daisy even if kidnapped is giving a hard time to her captors, while the meek Luigi ventures to go and find her.

It's been missing because it wasn't created by Miyamato. Today every Mario game requires the Miyamoto seal of approval and he's not fond of anything non-Miyamoto. That's why the last two Mario RPGs don't have any characters that he didn't create.

The Mario side-games, and even the main series Mario games were interesting when creators were allowed to come up with new concepts and take Mario to different environments. Not even characters that are considered main Mario characters are referenced in later main Mario games. Has Wario ever been even slightly referenced or hinted at in a main Mario game since Super Mario Land 2? Never. But if you want a _really_ rare form of a Mario powerup for the next MIA episode? Bomb Mario. The form that Mario takes when he erases a file in Super Mario Land 2. Unlike Shell Mario in NSMB, which, while it is only ever used in that game, is at least used in most of said game, Bomb Mario is literally only used for one purpose. To walk around above three pipes waiting to destroy all the sewerage (that coincidentally looks like Marioland with a sea and some levels)

There could be a game where there are many different Kingdoms that Mario could explore, all ruled by different princesses, Daisy being one of them. I think that Mario and Tatanga destroyed Sarasaland forever. Tatanga brainwashed everyone and everything in Sarasaland before kidnapping Daisy, and Mario killed all kings of the four constituent kingdoms composing Sarasaland (save for Daisy since she ruled the Chai Kingdom) alongside their inhabitants. After Princess Daisy was rescued, her principality was completely ruined beyond repairs, and she permanently relocated to the Mushroom Kingdom. Even though she is no longer an actual princess, she still acts like she's one, and joins Mario and friends in go-karting, sporting and participating in minigame-filled life-sized boardgames. As such, if she were to be in a standard Super Mario game, she would have to join the Mario brothers, Blue Toad and Yellow Toad in rescuing Princess Peach from Bowser, Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings in _New Super Mario 3D Bros._ or something like that for the Nintendo Switch. Or she could be the host of a minigame in _Super Mario Odyssey_ similarly to how Luigi hosts the Balloon World minigames that will arrive to that game in an update in February 2018. But what if Wario/Waluigi took over the entirety of Sarasaland and turned it into his own personal territory?

I can't help but wonder if Mario Odyssey took inspiration from Sarasaland, especially with the Sand Kingdom, for it's real world inspired Kingdoms. They had a golden opportunity for some Mario Land references with that game. Sarasaland would be awesome to explore in some DLC.

My #1 choice would be Mallow and Geno from Super Mario RPG. :-) My #2 choice: All of Mario and Luigi's previous homes. Mario's had a castle (SML2), a pad (SMRPG), and a house he's shared with Luigi (Paper Mario series). Luigi's also had a home of his own (Luigi's Mansion series). Have I missed any? And what's with all these changes of address?

This is my personal favorite Mario game, I've always wanted a true sequel to Super Mario Land with the same graphical style, music style, and more levels. I know it'll never happen but if they could do that it'd be pretty sweet

Sarasaland is mentioned in the wii u port of Bayonetta, as well. The Daisy costume references it in its description, and I believe it's also called something about Sarasaland.

I loved this game. It was very short and I finished it really fast in one night, but it is awesome. I really miss Sarasa Land, it was a very unique place where Mario has been.

Missing In Action: Mysterious Murasame Castle and Joy Mech Fight, why the heck this didn't get more games? Loved Super Mario Land and the way it connected to Super Mario Land 2 and Wario Land into a plot.

Sarasaland is actually mentioned in Daisy's profile in many of the Mario & Sonic games; most recently, in the 2014 Sochi Winter Games.

If Nintendo didn’t like Sarasaland then they can just rebuild it and make it into these fictional world where it involves lots of flowers and fields and have flower head shaped pedestrians like how Mushroom Kingdom has mushroom shaped head pedestrians….they an definitely rebuild it and change it if they really didn’t like how Sarasaland was based off of real life places. To this day, I still think in Mario Sports Mix, the Flower Castle in the flower cup, I like to think that’s how Daisy’s castle would look like or probably like the course Daisy’s Circuit.

I would love to see srasa land remade actually. Many people forgot about it because it was so old. Only true gamers know about it. Plus it would be nice to see daisy be in another game aside from the spin off games.

Here's something that I'd want you to cover in the next episode: A power-up (or sort of a quasi-power-up) that hasn't been seen since 1991, but has been recently mentioned in a game for the Wii released in 2009 and has become "popularized" on various websites.

Mario Land was the first Mario game that was not created by Miyamoto, so we can consider it as a semi-canon story, like Mario 2 (who wasn't originally a Mario game). Both universes weren't mentionned later in the Marioverse, but some recurring characters and ennemies still exist in the Marioverse (Birdo, or Daisy for example)
