This man got just 13 years for murdering his wife? Some one like that should never be let out of jail.
@PhoenixFires92 жыл бұрын
Yeah… I can never understand this.

Second Degree Murder is not Premeditated or planned. So it was not First Degree Murder. Therefore Second Degree carries a lesser Sentence. Usually happens during an escalated argument between a couple, but can happen between friends. And is not Manslaughter which is a fight with the outcome of unintentional death as a result. In which case the Sentence can be 4 to 8 years? Depending on Jurisdiction and/or State. For Second Degree Murder Most States Sentence 15 Years. For Good behavior a person can be released in half that time.

Me too!. A love story out of tragedy. I needed that. The crime was so shocking but the crime was solved and love grew in my "beloved" home state of Oregon. Can't get better than that unless Alexa survived, but unfortunately, she didn't. I hope John got life w/o parole. Probably not tho......

Well he was charged with Second Degree Murder. It was not premeditated. Gee if he'd just turned himself in? I'm surprised he wasn't also additionally charged with abuse of a corpse? And that wasn't tacked onto his Second Degree Charge to run concurrent, or in addition to those thirteen years? You know, in some States, helping hide or destroy evidence of a murder can get you a Sentence of 38 Years in Prison!
