And perhaps the “people [she] trusts” is those in heaven, being angels and god, if she was religious. It’s definitely possible. But, being an optimist, and going from the evidence, I think she didn’t end his life. I believe she left him maybe at a church step, at a person’s house that she knew, or as the theory goes, with the Amish. It’s not uncommon for churches to sort of do their own private adoption amongst themselves if a baby is dropped off at their place of service. And the Amish, although they are extremely conservative and private and strict, they wouldn’t turn away a baby or child.

i dont think she did mostly because i feel like if she really wanted her husband to suffer she wouldnt say she left him being well taken care of she would just leave him without closure if her motivation is to spite him. just thinking from the perspective of someone who is doing this to spite her husband it doesnt make sense that she would give him that kind of closure if she didnt mean it. she couldve just stopped at "you'll never find him".

I think that's sooo possible. But I hope not. Poor baby. :( I think if she were religious she could've killed him and then herself so they'd be together in heaven/an afterlife forever. My first thoughts were maybe she contacted people online, found a good home for him...maybe paid people to take him and stay quiet, but they checked her computer so unless she used a different computer or something I guess that'd be unlikely. I hope he's with the Amish.

Unfortunately I feel like she took his life also, the trip to the waterpark’s was a last hurrah type thing. I’m sure she buried him in a nice meadow. Hopefully they will be able to locate him so the family can at least have some closure.

I really think that she killed her son. That's so hard to even type. How does someone do something like that? Of course it's just my opinion, but I agree with someone else who said it was a way for her to look like the "good guy" all the way to the end. Whenever the body isn't found, I always think that it was burned. "You will never find him" is such a definitive statement. I hope I'm wrong and he is alive safe and sound somewhere. That poor boy. I seriously can't imagine the horror of your own mother killing you. The one person who is supposed to always protect you. I love the idea of a weekly update type of video!

This case has always frustrated me. It just has this tinge of spite to it. Whenever some, not all, parents go through rocky times the first weapon they utilize is the kids. Nothing cuts deeper. @Dani Stark Good questions. And I'm just guessing here. Maybe saying he's safe, in her mind, it would keep her husband from looking for him. Not that it did of course. With mental/emotional illness and instability there is a tendency toward distorted thinking, catastrophizing everything. Also, maybe she had more issues than we actually know. Perhaps she was a psychopath or sociopath and she felt/thought that if she can't have custody of her son, then no one can. And with distorted thinking (of course I'm assuming here) then that threat was very real in her mind.

@jonhinged
@jonhinged 6 жыл бұрын
@@StephanieHarlowe This is my theory just as you stated yours. No one KNOWS anything as of now. So on your last question as to why not tell the husband he's dead, my THEORY again is to leave him with the unknown gives him false hope for the rest of his life that there's a chance he can find his son and this is far more cruel than letting him know he's dead. To let him know he's dead is only a search for a body. To allow him to think he's alive is worse. But only my theory.
@nicotinedietcoke
@nicotinedietcoke 6 жыл бұрын
I also think this could be an act of cruelty to the husband in her last days, feeling desperate, impulsive, and not in her right mind. In my opinion it is more vindictive to leave your husband with questions rather than the peace of knowing what happened & laying him to rest properly.. I think she misled everyone into thinking he was alive as a last ditch effort to save her dying legacy as a mother who didn’t kill her child... this whole thing is absolutely heartbreaking

No one can know for sure and I hope Timmothy may be still out there but unfortunately I feel like someone would have come forward by now! Either someone who has him or more sightings/information closer to that Amish theory. Wouldn’t someone notice a urban looking woman and child heading towards Amish communities? Unfortunately, in many of these cases where the mother kills their babies, they really do convince themselves that they are doing the best thing for them. My heart and soul breaks for this sweet bboy. I can't imagine how scared and confused he must have been. Wondering why his mother was doing that to him. If I or someone I cared about ever met with foul play I would be honored to have someone as respectful as you cover the case. You are a rockstar Stephanie, and I am proud to be a subscriber. Keep the amazing work.

Hi Stephanie! Another fantastic episode! 👍 You covered lots of information about this case that I'd never heard before. Your research is always so thorough. You're be a great investigative journalist. 👍 I like to imagine that Timmothy is still alive somewhere... But, it's worrying to hear that the police found the Mothers phone, and that she had not been in contact with anyone who she could have given Timmothy to. You'd imagine there would some phone calls, text messages, Google searches - something! 😔 The 'not knowing' must be crushing for Timmothys Father. 😢

This is heartbreaking. As a mother who suffers or I should say.... Manages (Thanks to medication) depression and anxiety,I don't understand how Amy would've even wanted to give up her son. Even if she did share joint custody,she still would've been able to spend time with him to this day and each side of that family would win out of that situation. My daughter is my sole purpose for living,and I say that overtly,mainly because I was suicidal before I got pregnant with her. The moment I learned I was pregnant,I knew it wasn't about me anymore. Everything I do,revolves around my little girl. So,to even fathom that a mother-even in Amy's state of mind to give up her son,wouldn't make sense. Then again... When I tried to hurt myself years ago,nothing I did make sense to me,even to this day. If anything,I'm grateful that my daughter saved me from that very dark place. I guess some people.. When they don't seek that kind of help,they're stuck mentally and emotionally and the idea that seemed good at the time,they don't realize that it's the worst thing imaginable. Anyway... Sorry for rambling. I really am glad that I found this channel. It.. Gives a voice to children who have gone missing as well as possible scenario's that can make sense in a senseless world. Thank you.x

Rochelle Yanuzzi but she used her mental illness as an excuse or crutch for selfish acts. I have severe depression myself, and you know what I wouldn’t do? Cheat and lie to my compassionate partner, and if I had a child I would never be that vindictive. She shouldn’t have had custody of this poor kid and these actions show you. It’s awful she struggled with this disease but when you have another child in the world your feelings aren’t the top priority; their safety is, and if you can’t provide it you’ve got to step back

True, I mean all in all,there are people who don't have any illness and are horrible to their children,but I don't want to rule anything out. Samm Vinesett just because you have depression and “wouldn’t do” certain things doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone with depression... it affects everyone differently it’s impossible to know exactly how she felt and why... it may not even have anything to do with depression
@escapedscienceexperiement9824
@escapedscienceexperiement9824 5 жыл бұрын
@@lauraashley4780 True. People enjoy gatekeeping mental illness without taking into account that it's different for everyone. Amy probably thought that taking her son was the only way to keep him. I have done things that are illogical to neurotypical people in my life before, that doesn't necessarily make someone selfish or vindictive. It makes them ill, and her husband should have allowed her to be treated instead of thinking he "saved" her. There are so many parties involved here that a discussion pertaining to how whether or not Amy was solely responsible for the events that unfolded is not what needs to be talked about, rather the very real consequences of people not fully understanding mental illness or how it affects a person. I'm not defending her actions, I am simply stating that calling her names is unhelpful, and that energy could be spent analyzing a situation that could have easily been prevented. As someone who struggles with anxiety I know how draining it can be and how increased your paranoia becomes. Mental illness is individual, and just because you wouldn't do something doesn't mean everyone else would or wouldn't do that same thing.

I think the same. I think she was talking him to all these fun, kid friendly places to ease her mind about getting ready to kill him (kind of like a pseudo bucket list). I think she killed him. I mean clearly she had problems but she also loved her son so much. From what I've heard I feel like a lot of women like this just love their kids so much they just can't be away from them. I don't think she could abandon him, I don't think she could've handled dropping him off somewhere and simply driving away from him. I think in her mind it was just better if they both were gone from this world, it's sad but it's actually pretty common. Tons of parents kill themselves along with their kids simply because they want to be together with them. They want to be with them forever and although it's horrible to think about I think the idea of leaving your child alone is worse, at least that's just what I think goes through their minds.

I have read about a few cases that parents killed children in custody cases. If she wanted to get back at the ex, killing the child and hiding his body would provide pain to the ex for life. People who have a plan like that sometimes appear happy knowing their plan is in motion. I would like to think he is alive, but all of the evidence of the car being in the meadow just makes me think she buried him there.

@@StephanieHarlowe yeah I get that but there are so many other options that either killing your child or giving them to a stranger. Its is 100% selfish to do this things just so her husband couldn't have custody. I get that if her husband were abusive she wouldn't want him to have her son but she could have gone about it to be sure her mother or another family member would get custody if she was to end her life. There is the theory of psychosis, that she had not other option but the planning she went through is SO thorough and she either covered up all evidence of murder or planned out a new living situation for her son. Mental illness makes people do unimaginable things but I feel she was truly just being selfish here. Another thing to point out is that if she thought her husband wasnt suitable to have her son she would not have let them two alone on all those "friend trips" she would often take. I just have a really hard time being sympathetic to her
