Red will encounter and catch Missigno? Red, Leaf and Misty swim in route 20 to Cinnabar Island. Red found Missingno and then the lab to revive the fossil pokémon. This episode 36 of Pokémon Red will show trainer Red facing the gym leader Sabrina once again, and getting a chance to face Zapdos in the Power plant of Kanto!

So, Red gets a new skill every time he faces a gym leader, I love how he's getting the ability to foresee the Pokémon that the trainers will send out next, which is a mechanic in the original games but in this universe it's basically akin to psychic powers, lol. Incredible storytelling as usual, props Pedro. Also I know that the goal is making Red complete the pokedex but it'd be cool if Leaf also got some glory (legendary pokemon) etc.

I had chills when Green got smashed against the wall and red just walked up to zapdos like a badass and he just stopped. "DODGE THIS" one nidoking headlock later and he ended up catching him was just awesome. Another great episode and an awesome cliffhanger onto episode 37.

Best character is lt surge, by far in my opinion. Cause you managed to give him more of a character development. Now his more than the stereotypical macho army man type the series originally made him to be. You portrayed him with other sides and qualifications. I love the way he follows along red on his adventures from time to time, also the episode where he helps red get back on his feet through mentoring of both physical and mental workout. Shows that he is more than just muscle, but brawn as well

Perhaps recommend they watch the Pewter, Cerulean, Vermilion, Celadon, Fushchia and Saffron episodes. Perhaps even the next ones if finished fast enough. Please bare in mind, that Smallant doesn't do much reactions and Jaidenanimations does none.

I think that this moment (0:15) is just BEGGING to become a GIF/meme.^^ Nice episode. It's a detail, but I really appreciate how you found a way to incorporate Misty and Surge in the journey. It allows for more diversity in the characters' interactions. (Plus, one kiss between Red and Misty - YAY!^^ Though after he nearly drowned, it was more than warranted. Joke aside, if I had one regret about their relationship, it's that it had only few occasions to be featured in spite of how important it must be for Red. Since the end of the Silph arc, you've found a way to incorporate it without breaking the pace of the story.) Red and Leaf have a good comedy routine (that scene of them buying plenty of ultra balls^^). I'm sensing some Pokemon Go traumatic flashbacks when they try to catch Zapdos.^^ Finally, to briefly comment on the necessity of making the episodes more mature that you mentioned in the previous episode, I think the transition was very successful. The change is easily noticeable when one has seen all the previous episodes a few times, but it doesn't feel forced. It's working. Good luck for the next episode!

@@lordvader1993ger I could be wrong when I say this so don’t quote me on this, but I believe the story of the manga was based on what the devs of gen 1 wanted the story to be for the games. Like Surge, Koga, and Sabrina being a part of Team Rocket, and Green actually existing because she was supposed to be the playable female character in gen 1 alongside Red, but due to time and hardware limitations they cut her out. Even in some of the original promotional art for Red and Green in Japan it showed Green with a Blastoise, Red with Venusaur, and Blue with Charizard. It wasn’t ‘till the remakes where Green or “Leaf” was finally added, thus becoming semi canon to the gen 1 story.

Clever idea to use the near-death experience Red had as a means to implement the Missingno. glitch. For those unaware it was a bug in the original game with two possible outcomes. One being the crashing of the game. The other being whatever's in the 6th item slot being duplicated. Regarding the latter of these two outcomes, I've heard stories of people using it on the Rare Candy to have easy level ups for Pokémon. When I encountered it, I used it on the Master Ball. Back when I first played Pokémon Red, I had rotten luck when it came to the Ultra Balls when it came to catching the tougher Pokémon. I know not the wisest idea resorting to a cheap cop-out like that, but I wasn't faring too well, and I didn't want to blow it on the legendary birds OR a Snorlax. I was, however, a good boy in Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu by saving it for Mewtwo. Speaking of the "Let's Go" series, there's this really cool animation when you use the Master Ball on Mewtwo. Might want to incorporate it for when Red goes for Mewtwo.

This is probably how MissingNo was like for those in universe if it did exist. Seemingly impossible things begin to happen such as items appearing out of thin air and Pokémon that can't be found on the ocean showing up despite that. Something something world will turn to Ash. Ok, personal theory. Moltres was originally intended to be found in Cinnabar Mansion, but the area was repurposed for Mewtwo's backstory and the gym key. When you get surf, you're able to go find Zapdos in an optional electric dungeon, and Articuno in an optional ice dungeon. You also gain access to a fire focused dungeon when you get surf, where Moltres would make perfect sense to hide out, but instead you randomly find him in Victory Road after all 8 badges. Even in later games, Moltres has never had a definitive home like the other two.

Poor Red is realling in need of some therapy. On top of all the fame pressuring him too much, with all the incidents like drowning and such piling on, his trauma is just getting worse and starting to develop into him not putting as much care into his own life. He risked himself being punctured by Zapdos, with a darks shadow over his face afterward to boot, and he avoids even hope because of how much the fame has increased. It seems like he's closing himself off bit by bit and it could easily lead to him going to Mt. Silver just to isolate himself. This episode was certainly very creative, from the MissingNo. stuff, to Red and Misty, to Surge, the battle with Zapdos, and more. Looking forward to the next!

Red unlocked his Battle Instinct. It was hinted when he encountered Electrode in the Power Plant. Zapdos fight was the second time Red got this dead serious. The Missingno glitch also depicted vividly as a dream. Hope Red could get back there to catch it for real. Awesome work as always Pedro

Wow Nidoking getting Zapdos in a headlock was pretty cool. Pedro I think you capture and show case Red's personality very well. That is one of your greatest strengths in your animations IMO, show casing emotions and personality of your characters.

Having Missingno appear in a triply dream world works so well given that he’s a glitch. Too bad Red needed a near-death experience to see him. The Zapdos battle got the respect it deserved. Fighting a Legendary Pokémon should be nothing short of outrageously difficult and dangerous. Especially when Leaf got injured. Red’s defeat and capture of Zapdos worked so well; if your opponent is stronger and faster, you can only win by being smarter. Might just be me but Surge was just hilarious in this episode. Red’s comatose from nearly drowning? Punch his stomach and he’ll barf up the water. Need to fly somewhere? Use a fighter jet. Though I’m definitely intrigued by how Surge had some history with the bird so long ago. God, this series is so awesome and it makes me feel worse that I had stopped watching it for so long.

This episode was great! Red Leaf and Lt Surge went to the Power Plant to find electricity to make the fossil resurrection machine work again! It was cool when they found Zapdos they fought it before Red capture it!
