I had a friend in 4th grade that meant the world to me. I only got to see her on the weekends when I went to visit my mom, and I only knew her for three to four months. I went to my moms one weekend, and was heartbroken when she told me that this girl had moved to be with her mother in Florida. I never got to say goodbye to her, and pray every night in hopes that I will see her again shortly. I’ve looked for her name online, and I’ve looked for her fathers. I never knew her last name, which has made it nearly impossible for me to find her online. That was all six years ago, yet I know my heart still belongs to her and that one day when I die, I hope with everything inside me that I will see her, and live with her in peace as young adults in the afterlife. This song instantly reminded me of her, and every time I hear this song she is once again the only thing I can think about. I know I sound like a stalker, but if you’ve ever been in love, maybe you’ll understand what my heart has been feeling for six years. I want to give a special thanks to whoever has read all of this. Good luck in life and know that if you have read to this point, I love you as a human being and if you are worried about finding that special other, maybe you already have. Spend every moment you can with everyone you hold close, because one day, they might be gone.

@@dan13l-j1l ​I cannot remember my past either because of depression, and a bunch of other mental health problems. We tend to unintentionally repress our memories because the pain is too much to bear. When we try to recall on past events, we are unable too. It is all an empty void. The memories are technically still there, but not available to us due to the trauma it may cause if they just so happen to resurface. Sucks, right? We can get them back, but it would have to be through hypnosis and forcing them to return. All I remember are the good moments in my childhood too, but barely any of it. I can barely even remember my school life, and much of what happened before and after graduation.

Hii omg thank you guys for the support. Here to make quick update. She finally started to value herself and not to downplay her emotions. Also she finally acknowledged that everything that happened to her is not her fault. She's now trying face, accept and let go her traumatic childhood and help her older sister who has a severe case of depression. I'm doing my best to be there for her whenever she needs a company. But overall, she's feeling better than she did in 2019.

I so often don't feel heared or seen. Sitting alone in a room crying poems make at least me listen to myself. Since a while I feel a bit more heared as my therapist gets me. Moments I feel most heared & seen are moments of me standing on stage speaking out poems I wrote to deal with my feelings, thoughts and my past. Crying and screaming on stage on a poetry-slams is such a relief, like therapy. There are persons listening to me, who voluntarily went there to listen to others, to get to know new perspective, to laugh and cry with the poet. I really only can recommend others to try to speak out on poetry-slam stages or to go to poetry-slams to listen to others. Both is feeling so amazing and such a enrichment.
