Just goes to show that good writing trumps everything else. And that's exactly what's wrong with shows and films these days. They focus way too hard on the presentation, or sex-appeal, or action instead of good writing. Good and interesting writing absent in place of nudity and gruesome fight scenes, and no one cares. I haven't care about a show in like 10 years.

Seriously? That's your comment? Way to put me in my place MrAsage. Hope you feel really good about yourself. I really do. Having said that, I will say the technologies currently used by the industry could totally support a project of this nature regardless of previously used formats. All the current animators still use animatics exactly like this to pitch full length animated features; as well as shorter subjects used for any animated TV program on air today. The real trick is who owns the rights to the pre-production work, how will the actors get compensated for their work, and who gets distribution rights and other monetary considerations post production. It's not an impossible proposition, just a difficult one. Once again, it doesn't hurt anyone to want to see this lost episode produced, but apparently you don't care about sharing positive thoughts or relishing about how good this show was (and still is). Thanks for sharing your negativity and your sarcastic comment. I REALLY appreciated it!

I don't expect them to just start this show up again out of nowhere, but like at least stick it on Netflix or something. They could at least test the waters. I feel like with a nifty trailer, this show would get a ton of views from new people and generate at least 8 times the amount of fans it has now. The humor itself is timeless and relatable to anyone. Such a damn shame that it came out way before its' time on the wrong network.

this series was so great, it makes me have mixed feelings, I wish it had more episodes, but no so many so it end turned up in another sitcom or series of these days, maybe just a conclusive or retrospective chapter about the future of the bros. or some parodical thing about the seasons finale, with that said, Mission Hill is awesome, it had everything to win and be one of the greatest animated series of all time, but it never catch popularity as others, maybe is better this way, away from the mass media crap they critized in the episode about Mtv's Real World...

It's criminal how this never got animated. It's animatic but this was my favorite episode! All this time, I thought Jim was one of those air head and dense character stereotype. He was a man of culture as well. Would've been sweet to see him sing lol This episode could've a perfect season ender. I always thought Aaron Ehasz as a brilliant writer. He was the heart and soul of The Last Airbender and it showed here. Seriously, Netflix needs to pick this up for revival

MISSION HILL FANS: FYI @Joshstrangehill are working on bringing the show back and are taking it out to buyers soon. The new show takes place about six months after the original series ended (so 2000) and there is more Gus & Wally which is why it is tentatively titled GUS & WALLY

The commentary on the DVD explains it pretty well. Basically, every channel wanted their own Simpsons, but what they didn't realize is that animation costs money. That and the fit for the show just wasn't good. The WB was known more for teen dramas and sitcoms.
