Tom Cruise and Christopher Nolan are the reasons as to why big screens are still functioning in Hollywood. The way both of them integrates sheer class into their spectacles is simply astounding. MI- Dead Recknoning was supremely crafted with a brilliant screenplay. Now I am waiting for ‘Oppenheimer’ on 21st of July.

It's so refreshing to see, how Keanu and Tom at the age of 60 show such dedication and conviction to the art. Its laughable how in Indian cinema we perceive action stars to have a well-built body (so far to fake CGI abs). I think its time that we move on from goons flying away from a single punch to actual action.

Exactly true about the female actors , I felt this was missing with the 5th part rogue nation , venessa kirby in the last part and hailey attwell in this one , they just make the story part of the film more engaging, while tom is literally in the middle of an amazing action set piece, also love how they breezed in the 2 new characters (including hailey) and we know they would be important in part 2 They edit I feel was very well done to not cut short this part , and still build a hype for the next part with the technology fear as you pointed out correctly

As far as stories go, the very first Mission Impossible was the only one that had a great, complex and intelligent plot that actually made you think. The rest of the movies tones down on the plot lines. The only one that comes close is Rogue Nation, and then this and the 3rd.

The spark of fire along with it's theme music. I still remember my friends scolded me for taking them to the first MI movie way back in 1995 when we were in college as they couldn't understand the story. But, the action pieces were astonishing, especially the train sequence in the climax. Brian De Palma helmed the first part of the MI series. The only part I missed to watch was, the second one helmed by John Woo which I heard was a dud in the series. Will catch up this one on IMAX or PXL screen anyway.

Waited four years for this, watched in a housefull PVR with a diverse demographic and as much I think it fell a tiny bit short of the genius that Fallout is, I still hooted, cheered, celebrated Tom like a mass hero, sang the intro tune with the same enthusiasm. And as much as I lovee the Top "highway to the danger zone" Gun Maverick, Missons, as a die hard Tom Cruise stan it's frustrating to see most of the public still doesn't give him the credit for his incredible body of work acting wise. Magnolia, Rain Man, Vanilla Sky, Jerry Maguire, A Few Good Men, Collateral, Last Samurai, etc. Also his daring choices not the jaw dropping stunts but the roles he's chosen & was brilliant in all of them. I live for the stunts but man for once I want him to do some dramatic piece that truly showcases his acting prowess. The moment between Val Kilmer & TC in Maverick is the closest we've gotten to see him flex his acting muscles in recent years. Truly hope that happens someday. "Stars" over here can learn a damn thing or two from TC

Movies are underperforming because the effort behind the scenes is declining i mean entire movies are now shot in a room with screens with 4 actors that's why audiences don't connect with the material because everything feels so artificial. There is a reason why Christopher Nolan movies feel different its because if he wants to show a plane crash in the airport he will crash a plane into the airport similar with Tom Cruise in an age where even abs are digital he jumps off a cliff with a bike and parachute

This is real big screen cinema. Mission Impossible series & Nolan's movies are meant to be experienced in the theatres. Tom Cruise is undoubtedly the real superstar & this movie made me fall in love with Hayley Atwell too.

One thing I admire in story telling of MI is even if some technical glitches or equipment failure happen. They just don't pass by but make it part of story. The belief of cast that Ethan is superhuman is always hilarious but we can see his disbelief and disgust still carrying on with others expectation.

Mission impossible franchise might be the best franchise. And Tom cruise is just a banger. But this Marvel hatred is ridiculous. A review of Mission impossible film with thumbnail of Tom> Marvel is just unexpected from a brilliant, genuine film reviewer like you. But it is what it is.

I loved the film but just don't understand one thing, why was ilsa sacrificed ? She and Tom cruise were so good together and being ex-Mi6 her character was literally badass, and this film so unexpectedly just killed her and inserted a new female protagonist

mainstream audience has always been sooo annoying man. I've loved superhero movies at a time when people used to ridicule them and make fun of me. and they went mainstream and everyone's talking about them and it basically became a cool thing. now it's cool to hate on marvel. the movies and shows are a hit and a miss now sure. they're dogshit even, but we don't have to dunk on marvel at each and every turn it's getting boring . it's not like they're making huge money or anything either. antman 3 didn't make money, secret invasion has very low views. you can't even say it's overrated cause they're flopping hard. we're talking about mission impossible talk about mission impossible.

My God! Just came after watching the movie and happy tears with goosebumps rolled from my eyes just by the sight of Tom Cruise. Best original action movie without much bullshit. And that stunt was breathtaking seriously the whole cinema hall gasped for a few seconds and cheered like hell 🫶🏼😍 Can't express my feelings in words that I really experienced today.. It's a perfect treat for the MI fans 🥳 Tom cruise cannot Age with time, see the proof by yourself. This Man is as charming and handsome as before. No one can be this Fu**ing good. Tom from Hollywood and SRK from Bollywood, these two are surely the last of the stars. Period. It would be a dream to see them both sharing a screen together somewhere possible in future. Please please someone make this happen. The collaboration of these both in a MI installment can bring a storm all across the world. Don't miss this guys. Go and Watch.

It's time we stop relying on CGI as the public's viewing and all forms of visual media is extremely saturated with visual effects. Just think. Back when avatar or even Jurassic park was first released everyone was amazed by the CGI nowadays nobody gives a F. The best way to move forward is going practical or extremely creative with action and settings. Like in Extraction, John wick and Mission impossible. Practical action >>>>>> CGI slugfests.

The females in this movie are so badass i totally agree with you, withoutiverenunciating the fact that they are females they just showed them as an integral part normalising their strength and importance in the film

I loved how I could follow the story despite only being aware of the characters played by Simon, Ving and Rebecca.... because I never understood those plots much after part1 and 2, especially the meaning of the movie titles and still ...even thatminimal knowledge is sufficient to get through this movie because it is a self contained story... yes - self contained despite being a part1, because it ends a part of the quest and doesn't leave one hanging about what part2 holds by suddenly finishing (like FastX). If a problem is running at you, Ethan Hunt will "run" faster to help 😂 The action truly is "big ticket entertainment"

After watching it I only have 1 question: What are they going to do in the next and probably the last movie because the stakes are more high than ever and even national governments are involved in the chase. I really appreciate that they have built a very solid context and experience for Haley Atwell's character to be a serious IMF ghost in the next movie. She now has a realistic origin story literally and an emotional baggage of Elsa's death.

MI movies from 4th part onwards are jaw-dropping - insane action set pieces in every movie. And right from the first, they are great action movies overall. Second part is not so good as the rest, but better than most average actioners.

I noticed two things in the movie, First, In the beginning a narrator gives Ethan hunt his new mission, the narrators voice is similar to Carl Sagan's voice. Good touch. Second, The concept of a super AI and countries fighting over each other, is similar to how countries in real world fought to attain nuclear supremacy. Again, Good touch.

As much I love MI series, this movie was underwhelming to me..Fallout and Ghost protocol are the peak and no other action movies can beat tht(barring John wick 1&3). This movie had lots of copies scenes from Uncharted 2 game. The entire train sequence was inspired by Uncharted 2 game and few scenes are exact replicas. This was never expected from MI series. I storngly believe that part 2 will have strong come back.

I am writing this before watching your video, since I just came back from the theatres after watching the movie. I went in with a lot of hype, and not that I was disappointed, but it felt like something was missing... The chase scene in Rome didn't feel as urgent as it's supposed to feel as that little comedic scene with the Fiat slowed it down. The threat of the entity doesn't feel as scary as they show it to be... I don't know man maybe becuz this is the first part of a two parter, they wanted to build the story slowly so as to reserve all awesome stuff for the second one, let's see.
