Shankar is seriously lacking a good script writer. Why can't he and his team go for a WRITER HUNT across the country and pick up someone who could match his style of making and who can give solid stories like Writer Sujata. Shankar is not a bad director but he is not able to understand the audience taste.

Father son dynamic, that sibling dynamic. Why the father took such grave decision. Where was tripti in the whole 200 yrs ago plot. They completely forgot about the main story.

Listen Anmol you have to grow mature from this neppo narrative and your hate towards kids whose family are in the business. No one will put 80 crore of their hard earn money on a new face whose name will never create a hype. Its pure business. This movie was not good but still in no where in future it will ever stop where big launches will only happen for faces who can create some buzz from their surname like Khan, Kapoor, Roshan, Bhatt. Mukesh Ambani will only invest money on a big promotion for Ambani not for a very talented Khurana kid!!!!

I think nowadays even the audiences are"forced" to believe that alia is the best actress, be it by karan johan, his coffee episodes or even by other star kids.. Alia has done some descent performances and had the privilege to get variety of roles.. Bt she lacks an aura that the previous bollywood actresses possessed.. Some role does end up unfinished when she portrays it.. And her nostrils in emotional scenes are an eyesore. With deepika, recently people are underappreciating her performances. Her portrayal of piku, meenamma, veronica, leela and even shantipriya though it got its due appreciation earlier, people has deliberately tried to forget such nuanced performance by DP. Her NAINA will forever be an iconic character in bollywood.

I don’t really understand why people are criticising this movie sooo much. I watched it and do not regret. It was a refreshing movie overall and I have seen nothing like it in years. Nothing over the top, simple storyline yet unique. Also the two new actors did justice to their respective roles… just because they are nepo kids they are being over criticised unnecessarily.

Couldn't agree more. Agreed this may not be as fast paced or gory as the first season but even after 5 yrs the main characters and their relations with each other looks just like it's a seamless continuation from the 1st season. The characters leave a mark and you are like what did I just see. What happened.

Only if we appreciate and make the regular actors popular by talking about them on such platforms; increasing their following, etc. will the focus shift on them... criticising nepo kids (especially females) is still going to give them work because they are eye candy, it still brings engagement on social media even if people are criticising them and producers seem to be okay even with the negative talks and comments... this is what I have observed.. a failed Male nepo kid is not given chances and eventually fades into oblivion Hence let's appreciate more and criticise less 😬

paatal lok 2 is as amazing as the first one. amazing writing and characters, their motivations, all well rounded and felt natural. jaideep did his absolute best. the director and whole crew did their absolute best. didn't miss a beat. absolutely 100/100. mystery was intriguing, the real life king kong-ness of out of shape hathi raam, the respect from ansaari, hathi rams wife and son, the absolute beast of the killer, and the heartfelt moments, its action sequences grounded in reality. haathi raam is indias own supercop. hats off the writers. love and respect to all involved in this show.

MISHAL RAHEJA is incredibly talented too !! Just watch his intense brooding performance as Dutta Shriram Patil in the serial Laagi Tujhse Lagan ( specially his entry scene ) and then how comfortably he slips into the role of a playful, carefree character in another show called Ishq ka Rang Safed ❤ Mishal Raheja is born for the Big screen...he just needs a good break and a role to do justice to his immense talent !!

Honestly, Jammy I found season 2 better than the first cz I feel first season was a little edgy in certain things... Some of the scenes were forcely put in the story n the dynamics were little (v little) sharp. This on the other hand felt very genuine and original to what I have heard n read about Nagaland and lives of the people there. Plus it didn't exaggerate anything like they do in bollywood... I felt, it went on like a portrayal of the true events with no embellishments. 5years back when Season1 came, almost all the series on the OTT had foul language, extreme sexual content n unwatchable violence... Hence, it followed the trend n enjoying the freedom of being uncensored. It's better that makers are concentrating on story telling through the acts n not merely on what will serve the purpose.

Glorification of bagi's is over done in cinema, so it doesn't garner much interest. Apart from being morally wrong, as many people subconsciously draw parallel between tribal terrorism of 1920's and today. Indians, especially middle class urban crowd, wants to hear different morality tales than have-nots doing a violent uprising against have's. Most of these depictions omit what Daku's actually did, how many innocents they actually killed, and their final contribution was just misery for everyone. Treating Daku's as Martyr's or freedom fighters is idiotic

Nepotism isn't inherently bad, but the issue arises when "nepo kids" are cast as leads too early, despite lacking the necessary experience. They should work their way up with smaller roles first.

These talentless nepo baby launches and their constant failure is the classic example of F'ing around and finding out.

Season 2 is to be watched as new story and brilliant exploration of existing characters. I agree to the point, you don’t need to copy paste same onus from season 1. Brilliant exploration of Nagaland.

I feel that the series not only gives platforms to showcase exceptional talent but also attempts to explore various topics in contemporary times.
