One of the things I love most about this movie is how Henry Cavill's punches look real. Heavy. Hard hitting, not like most movie punches. Almost Rocky like.

The biggest and best of the bunch. Christopher Mcquarrie as director just raising the bar even more than before to a major level. In IMAX, it was a must see and no way you saw it first in another format. Henry Cavill as August Walker (wow). Vanessa Kirby as The White Widow and daughter of a character from M-I:1 (cool). Baldwin & Bassett as the bosses (hell yeah). I remember a few months later, early 2019 in fact; Cruise, Paramount and Skydance annouced back to back sequels of one story as the final installment. Of course, everything was pushed back to now and all worth waiting for. Glad you enjoyed you all the missions so far. M-I:7/DR part 1 was incredible too. You won't be disappointed.

I loved your reaction to both mask reveals. It's kind of funny that Benji, who'd been wanting to wear a mask for a while, finally got his chance *twice* in the same movie.

Solomon Lane is truly the Best villain for Ethan. Just the fact, that Solomon had appeared in Ethan's dream even before Ethan watched the Mission briefing shows, how much of an impact did Lane on Ethan. At time(16:00 I remember i also was so shocked to see Lane, because i was thinking that Sean Harris only appeared in the beginning as a cameo), (Completely forgot that he appeared in the opening credits)

You smelled something fishy at 18:44 because McQ made a move most people didn't get... "Lark's" phone was destroyed in the bathroom fight. So, that phone is a fake.

The storm and lightning were CGI, the HALO jump was real. They wouldn't let Tom Cruise actually jump through clouds filled with lightning. Much like how Top Gun Maverick used real planes and flying, but the really risky things like 'flying between the two planes' was a digital composite because they wouldn't violate flight safety regs with actual near-misses like that.

As to where Brandt was, Avengers filming conflicts meant Jeremy Renner couldn't appear.

Fun fact, many of the world’s greatest stunt pilots refused to do the helicopter chase because it was deemed extremely dangerous

I’ve been waiting for this. Might have to watch the full length one day. I love this one. Easily my favourite. The stunts work within the plot, the emotional story is there, the whole gang is there and serviced well, love the locations and the score. A few things for you: - the tower structure in London Ethan is standing atop is the Tate Modern gallery which used to be a power station decades ago. Such a cool shot. - the first day back after his 4 month break after breaking his foot was the climbing on the cliff from the end! Plus the whole second half of the London chase sequence was filmed after his foot injury. Just crazy he got fit again so fast! - I knew Cavill was bad as soon as he gave the phone to his boss, as we saw the guy in the bathroom’s phone screen was cracked and this one wasn’t. - All the stunts in this are impressive, but Tom learning to fly that helicopter and actually do that sequence flying and that dangerous corkscrew spiral is just nuts! - I love tying Kirby to Max from film 1 and when you watch them again they do work as mum/daughter in terms of spark and mannerisms. - think Avengers got in the way of Renner being in this. My ranking favourite to least fav: 6,3,1,5,4,2.

My absolute favourite Mission: Impossible movie. I don’t know if you picked it up, when we see Vanessa Kirby for the first time, she’s talking about her mother, Max. That’s Vanessa Redgrave’s character from the first movie.

9:29 while the heads-up display is probably VFX, those helmets are still a technological advancement, as they were designed for this movie so they could show Tom's whole face while still being a fully functional oxygen mask.

I have to add one piece of information: Vanessa Kirby's Alana Mitsopolis is the daughter of the villain of the first film. My ranking: 6. Mission: Impossible II 5. Mission: Impossible III 4. Mission: Impossible 3. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol 2. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation 1. Mission: Impossible - Fallout You are going to love Dead Reckoning Part One, I think it's exceptional, because it's different in some ways. I've seen it three times and I'm looking forward to watching you reacting to it.

I just remembered that this was the movie they shot in Queenstown while I was living there. Saw Henry in town (most memorable celebrity sighting. Lol) but I was too shy to ask for a selfie. I regret a little not asking because he's really nice and a few people asked him (based on IG posts I've seen). But most people left them alone. The wedding dream at the beginning and most of act 3 were in the Queenstown area.
Did you pick up on the callback to the first movie? Vanessa Kirby's chracter is the daughter of 'Max', the arms dealer/power broker Ethan dealt with in mission Impossible. One big clue was that 'John Lark's' phone got completely destroyed in the bathroom, but the one Walker gave Sloane was pristine.

This is also the film responsible for Superman's wonky CGI lip in Justice League. The producers wouldn't let Henry Cavill shave his mustache, so when he had to do JL reshoots at the same time, it had to be digitally removed.

The Chamberlain "mmmm" made me spit out my water 🤣that caught me off guard. I'm a huge Dark Crystal fan so they made my day lol. After seeing this movie again yeah it's excellent. I remember being a little unsure about the Ethan & Iisa thing, I love her as a character & actor don't get me wrong but I'll admit I kinda liked having a female platonic member of the group not just the one passing through like previous films. I mean we've got Luther and Benji so I kinda liked the idea of having Iisa join the team. But if they wanna go that route ok sure I love Rebecca so I can get use to it.

My ranking of the first 6 MI films goes as follows: 1. MI 2. MI Fallout 3. MI Rogue Nation 4. MI Ghost Protocol 5. MI Dead Reckoning Part 1 6. MI 3 7. MI 2 I just love the low key spy thriller vibe that the first one has and how noir it feels. Plus, it came out the year I was born, so I feel oddly attached to it. Really should rewatch MI 2 and 3 at some point. I like the approach of the third one, but something about it never quite worked as well for me.
@latech7671 Жыл бұрын
While it is certainly not that different than the first 4 movies I do like that even with the same director for 5 - 7, these still feel at least somewhat different to one another, each of them having a different focus and tone. My favourite fact about this movie: They didn't have a script while they filmed most of it. They simply filmed the sequences that were fun for them and then connected them to a story later (at the beginning the script was about 11 pages long or something). For a movie like this with such a good team behind it that actually works out... ...and it kind of reminds me of how one of my favourite games was created: Titanfall 2 😂 Oh, and there is also a connection to MI:1 in this. The Black Widow said her Mother was MAX (the Handler in the first movie) and they also confirmed that she indeed likes Paradoxes 😉 And something else from behind the scenes: Where did Brand go? Well, if I remember this right, technically he was gone to become an Avenger as Infinity War was being shot at that the same time as MI:Fallout. The only problem with that: HAWKEYE IS NOT IN INFINITY WAR 😂 I am not sure if this is true, but I think I have heard somewhere that he needed to shoot for Infinity War and couldn't do MI:Fallout because of that and IN THE END, his scenes that he did actually shoot for Infinity War were all cut from the final movie. If that story is indeed true, I feel so bad for Jeremy Renner

Hey, Henry Cavill’s arm loading caused a breast pocket to appear on his shirt AND grow a five o’clock shadow all at the same time. The producers, director and Tom Cruise himself can’t figure it out. Henry Cavill’s arms are made of magic!
