I was asking myself just one question the whole time: how many manuscipts have this "alteration"? Apparently all the manuscripts, those pre-dating Islam, and those in other languages, so it's not an "alteration" but originally there. So for one monk to change just the outcome in the Codex Sinaiticus is a worthless endeavour. The crazy amount of manuscripts dating all the way back to the 1st century spread across the entire Christian world back then ensured that nobody could make any change without everyone else finding out and correcting it. Muhammad was never mentioned in the Bible, and he will never be. What's fascinating is that Muslims think that successfully rooting Muhammad in one verse in the entire Bible will validate their claim. For a person of such renown, wouldn't you expect to see him mentioned a ridiculous number of times throughout the Bible from start to finish? More than Jesus Christ.

@@IslamCritiqued thank you for the advice. Honestly I am not plugged in locally with a church in my area. I tend to stay away from people for the most part. That is why I was curious about thoughts on a seminary which is set up as correspondence courses. I know I should try and get plugged in locally, I am a member of a church in Atlanta but I moved to Fl temporarily and kind of got stuck and have been working and trying to get back to my Home church. But as it's taking such a long time, I see how right you are in needing to reach out locally and get plugged back in again. As a native English speaker I would like to say I am not confused abut 'There', 'Their', and 'They're'. In now why, written or spoken, will I be confused about these words. That is a low hanging fruit for someone who doesn't know the English language. If you know two languages you can easily translate from one to the the other.

Χείρα= Hand or hands depending on how old the text is and the surrounding context Χήρα/ος/ο= Widow both genders and neutral Χοίρος= Ham The word Χίρας/ Χίρα Has no meaning at all in Greek and that is why people DID input "ε" between the letters "χ" and "ί". The so-called prophet of lsIam is widely known as "Muhammad", but that was not his actual name. Note that in the Quran, an explicit occurrence of the name "Muhammad" for the so-called prophet of lsIam is very rare, and only appear a few of times throughout the entire Quran. Using the name "Muhammad" is actually part of an lsIamic attempt to plagiarize, copy and present the so-called prophet of lsIam in a similar manner to the Prophet Daniel. The Prophet Daniel is nicknamed "Ish H'amudot" - a man of H'amudot (H'-M-D as root). Angels, such as the angel Gabriel are said to have appeared to him with visions, revelations and that which is written in truth. See also: Daniel 9 : 21-23, 10 : 11, 10 : 21. The article you displayed seems to be Osama Abdullah. He’s not that enlightened on this stuff. In fact, what’s funny, he debated somebody on the trinity and there’s a video highlight of this which is the best cross examination debate section I’ve seen where as the Christian asks about the Greek, Osama says “That’s Greek spaghetti. We don’t care what the Greek says. What does the English say?” This guy isn’t consistent and this was laughable that he went to an argument from the Greek that was faulty.

If χειραc originally was a Greek transliteration of Hira wouldn't it make more sense for the original to be ιρα (with a rough breathing mark). Hello dear Brother, One question has been on my mind for a long time now and I would appreciate to hear your opinion on that. I was thinking why some “ big“ Islamic scholars like Shabir Ally , Ali Ataie etc who seam to know both Islam and Christianity very well , who knows ALL the PROBLEMS in Islam , and who thoroughly studied the Bible just wouldn’t accept Christ.. I mean isn’t it at the end of the day all about being with a true God for them as well ? I just can’t understand it, how come that they KNOW that Islam CAN’T be from God and they still keep defending it instead of embracing the Truth. Could you PLEASE share your thoughts on that. I would say it is proof of 2 Corinthians 4:4 “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” I would also point out that anyone famous has their reputation and livelihood tied to continuing to say the same stuff, so that creates a really strong incentive not to change (consciously and unconsciously).

It's my second time watching this and I am still impressed with the systematic dismantling of the claim. What baffles me is why Muslims would even want something like this to validate Muhammad. This "claim" aside, just reading the passage in its entirety to understand the context would have already blown it to oblivion. You mentioned the verses immediately before and after, and it is clearly obvious that Muslims do not want to put Muhammad in this particular verse because of what it says in these verses. In fact, all the places in the Bible that Muslims want to put Muhammad are places they should not because of the context of the passages. I remember some of the claims like Muhammad being "altogether lovely" (feat Solomon) and "the Comforter" (feat Gospels) and cringe when the context of the passages were explained. Totally stinks of false prophet material.

Taking a verse in the Torah out of it's context upon a pretext can lead one into a pit. They claim the Bible is "corrupted " And YET they use it out of it's context. We live in an age of information. Muhammad in Isaiah 29:12? Since the Qur’an claims that the Bible contains clear prophecies about Muhammad (see 7:157 and 61:6), Muslims have been trying to locate these prophecies for nearly fourteen centuries. Some of Islam’s most popular apologists, such as Ahmed Deedat and Zakir Naik, have attempted to show that the Bible refers to Muhammad in Isaiah 29:12. Zakir Naik writes: Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah: It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12: "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned." When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned". So Muhammad is supposedly the illiterate man who receives a book in Isaiah 29. But Isaiah 29:12 isn’t about a prophet; it’s about people who rejects God’s prophets! At this point, we can only wonder why Muslims who respect Muhammad don’t accuse Zakir Naik and Ahmed Deedat of heresy or apostasy when they apply this verse to Muhammad. In the first ten verses of Isaiah 29, God announces that he’s going to punish Israel and Israel’s enemies. He’s going to punish Israel for sinning against him, and he’s going to punish Israel’s enemies for attacking Israel. God sends the prophet Isaiah to announce these punishments, but God tells Isaiah that people won’t listen to the message. He says in verses 11 and 12: The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I cannot read.” Notice what happens here. Isaiah has been given a revelation. But God tells him that people will reject the revelation. The message is like a sealed book. If it’s given to someone who can read, he will say, “I can’t read it, because it’s sealed.” If it’s given to someone who can’t read, he will say, “I don’t know how to read.” Either way, people refuse to heed God’s warning. Interestingly, in the very next verse (Isaiah 29:13), God says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” Jesus quotes this very passage in the Gospels to condemn people for their disobedience to God (see Matthew 15:7-9). So when Muslims like Zakir Naik and Ahmed Deedat say that Isaiah 29:12 refers to Muhammad, they’re telling us that Muhammad was spiritually blind, that his heart was far from God, that he rejected God’s revelation, and that Jesus would have condemned him just as he condemned the Pharisees. Of course, if our Muslim friends want to convince us that this verse about people rejecting God’s revelations is actually about Muhammad, we have no reason to object. We can only pray that they won’t follow Muhammad down the path of rebellion against God.

As a Greek i must laugh extra hard. Χείρα/ Hira meaning hand. But it can also mean widow but then the spelling looks like this χηρα/ Hira, but we have 8 different types of the letter "i" thus makes a big change in the meaning of a word. So χέιρα and χήρα both is pronounce as Hira but mean different things. All Greek names have a meaning.
