Berry Law Proudly Supports Mission Service "A Tribute to Our Heroes"
Marine veterans who continue to help others in need have come together to form the Miguel Keith Detachment 609 of the Omaha Marine Corps League.
Terry Kempf, another member of the league, stated that the Miguel Keith attachment has a greater number of people participating in the league than the whole of the state of Nebraska put together.
The Marine Corps League upholds the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen who proudly wear or have worn the Corps's Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. It is quite proud of the fact that it was founded in 1923 by World War I hero, then Major General Commandant John A. Lejeune. It is equally proud of its Federal Charter, which was adopted by An Act of the Seventy-Fifth Congress of the United States of America on August 4, 1937, and signed and approved by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The League is the country's only federally chartered Marine Corps-related veterans group. The Marine Corps League has had the support and encouragement of the United States Marine Corps' active duty and reserve establishments since its inception. Currently, the League has over 76,000 men and women, officer and enlisted, active duty, Reserve Marines, honorably retired Marine Veterans, and qualifying Navy FMF Corpsmen as members, and is one of the few Veterans Associations that sees membership growth year after year.
