Unfortunately, the truck is not mine. My father in law was stuck at home because of a broken leg and wanted me to test out his new 5th wheel hitch and truck. Although the truck was beautiful, I didn't like the way that it towed. It had the gas "Godzilla" motor in it and it sounded great but got like 8 miles to the gallon while towing and I missed my diesel (my diesel gets 11.5). Thanks for watching!!

They are identical but not so much look alike. Let's just say, they couldn't pull one over on me when Mike and I started dating years back.

This was very informative. I have reserved the group site. Not much information on the site online besides the pictures. Hoping its a good site with the family! Thanks for this video. Gave me an idea of what to look for when we get there.

We had site 15 there, but, we have a 33MH, it was nightmare to level it, sloped both front to back and left to right, Texas has lots of great state parks 😊

Thanks for sharing this video. It might be a park we will want to check out. We sold our fifth wheel and now have a Lance truck bed camper. Rarely do we find level campsites and we improvise and adjust. Hopefully, there are some sites in the park better than others that will suffice. I noticed the new truck! Very nice!

I had never leveled a travel trailer before and I'm so spoiled rotten with my auto level! LOL! It was quite a learning curve trying to get my little sister's rig level on that site! (It was terrible) Unfortunately, the truck is not mine.

@@SunsetSeekers Thanks for responding so quickly. Yeah, the auto leveling on our fifth wheel spoiled us as well! I hear you about the gas motor. Though we loved our Ram 2500 with a 6.4 Hemi, we sold it and bought a new 2020 F-350 crew cab Power Stroke to haul our Lance 1172 truck camper. The diesels are beasts!

Our 287bh Arctic Wolf also has auto level. I found out the hard way that the auto leveling system needs to be “somewhat” level to begin with to work correctly lol. I still manually level the rig before pressing the auto level button. Is that the definition of OCD? Probably lol. I would’ve lost my mind on the site your sister was in. We enjoy the videos and are happy to see you guys back out there honoring your father in law with doing what he also loved to do. Safe travels and God bless.

I'm a total noob at manually leveling travel trailers so trying to get my sisters rig level on that site was not fun! LOL! Auto-level has completely spoiled me! This video has been 5 months in the making since my heart just wasn't in it but it's good to have another video done and I'm working on another one from our recent trip to White Oak Lake State Park in Arkansas. Thank you for the kind words and for watching! God Bless!

@@SunsetSeekers I understand. We haven’t dealt with anything like you guys are dealing with, but we’ve had to “learn” a new way to enjoy camping as our kids are getting older. Our oldest two are teenagers with jobs and college approaching for our oldest who’s now a senior in highschool. It’s different now that our camping family of five is now mostly a crew of three with myself, my wife and our nine year old daughter. It’s just a reminder of how time goes by so fast. With that said, we’re just living every day to the fullest and getting in as many weekend trips as we can, while we can.
