RV Texas Y'all We were in a spot across from yours in June . 3 nights in a row we went to the fishing pier around 8:30pm and the same gator came up to the pier and hung around for a while. I bet it comes almost every day. Maybe we will run into y’all someday. We will keep watching. Thanks.
@rvamericayall6 жыл бұрын
Hi Don! Hope to see y’all out at a campground one of these days. I’ll bet you’re right; that gator probably hangs out at that pier every night!

Hi Kevin! We were there last summer. Not sure when we’ll be back at Huntsville. But you will love the park.

as kids, my family went there every summer and stayed 2 and 3 weeks at a time every year. My summers were filled with the joy of this park as I grew up. We rented paddle boats, we hiked, we swam... we explored the dam, we played music in the jukebox at "the pavilion" which is no longer a store (but it was when i was young). we rode our bikes all over the park, we fished off the pier and trolled the lake shore in my dads boat. I caught a HUGE bass as a kid... we met people from all over the country and the world. We built fires and roasted marshmallows and hotdogs, we played in the little parks behind the restrooms (swings/slide) for hours.

I lived in Huntsville until I was 10. My mother would always bring me here to have picnics and swim. I absolutely loved it. I even saw a few dances or parties there on the big outdoor patio behind Raven Lodge. This was in the mid to late sixties. My mother later re-married and took me away to West Texas. By the way, my 90 year old mother (ANNA) watches you guys several hours a week. It's her way of getting around these days.

That is awesome! We love Huntsville State Park. We’ve explored West Texas some, but have a lot more exploring to do out that way. Thanks for letting us know about your Mom. Is she still out in West Texas?
@JourneyWithDavaoJack4 жыл бұрын
@@rvamericayall , no, my Filipina wife and I are living here in Port Lavaca with her. I went to BRAZOS BEND STATE PARK with a cross-country track team last year (I'M A SCHOOL BUS DRIVER) and I loved the place. I looked it up this evening because I want to go walk the trails there some day. Of course your video popped up so I watched it and then somewhere in there you mentioned HUNTSVILLE STATE PARK so I came to this video to reminisce. We've been gone from West Texas for many years.

Would it be possible for you to give my mother a shout-out on one of your future videos? I think she would love that. You ARE one of her favorite channels to watch when it comes to RVing.

Thank you for watching our videos. We’re building a playlist of a videos on every Texas State Park as well as the other types of campgrounds across the state. Brazos Bend has great hiking trails. Hope you get to get over there to enjoy the park. Please say Hi to your Mom for us. 😁

Cute Playground you show at the 4:45 minute mark. With that note it is surprising to see a State Park playground not meet the safety standards set forth by ASTM 1487 or CPSC 325 for a public playgrounds.

Sam's Indian name was Colonneh, pronounced Co-lon-nee. I only mention this because the last 60 years of my life has been influenced by this word. Keep up the good work you do, I have learned many things from your videos, I just wanted to return the favor.

hello!! everything in this park is amazing i love it especially the platform in the swimming area i actually learned how to swim there my only issue every year is that the bathrooms aren’t the nicest and they have many spiders and cobwebs and the showers usually have wasps in this little hole on top and they aren’t very comfortable to shower in because of huge spiders in there but everything else is amazing! love the paddle boarding and swimming especially coming back this july 😌❤️

Hi! I surely did enjoy this video. Didn't know that this was so close to home (Spring, TX) I have been a subscriber for some time now and have watched a lot of your videos. I truly do enjoy your personalities. I just need to find something to camp in as at 69 the ground would be not to cool. I did that in my youth. Now do you think that is a fairly safe place to go.
