Bloody Fantastic! Love the long videos buddy, Keep up the hard work. 25 minutes to 40 minutes is the sweet spot for me! Thing is, if the video is long people can watch a bit, then watch a bit more another evening. So interesting watching you find and fix the faults

Hi Ash, Thanks for the comment and the feedback! I've always kept them short as I find people skip a lot of the videos, but this might be because my other content has been more of a story about the fault, but it would seem everyone who has commented wants longer videos 😂 so it looks like we're going to 25 minuites now in future ha ha ha To be honest, mate I've no idea how to fix trucks, and Jaltest does all the work most of the time 🤔😅

Steve how are you buddy! I was only thinking the other day Did he get sorted afterwards with that truck, I keep a lift pump and a repair kit on the van now so I don't have to leave customers needing parts like that in future. The consensus is people want 25-minute vlogs of me doing repairs so that should be easy enough to cope with going forward 👍
@StephenCallow-j8w7 ай бұрын
All good here thanks bud, a month with no p-p-dings!!! Bliss 😂. Many thanks 👍🏼👍🏼. Was a bit of a fiddle to change apparently but was his first one. After you saw the job , do you think it needs looking at again? no faults are showing. What with having a new BPV fitted and seeing if calibration is accurate. Still feel it doesn’t pull as it should on hills, our Scanias will leave me. Also Gearbox updates? If possible maybe?

I nearly spilt my beer when you tried to remove the DPF clamp with your gun ,you knew it wasn't coming off lol....Video lengths are fine , With the SAC wiring you know like i do if 2 wires have already failed then over time there will be others ,it if the customer agrees either needs the actual area where the fault is located and fixed ,or a new piece of wiring fitted from the bulkhead to the sac unit.What i find is perfect for repairs is rubberised wiring as it flexes ,perfect for the likes of LF brake pad warning loom ...You will have fun with the NGD the fuel air shut off valve is now way down at the sump ,and on the engine ECU they have fitted the same style of plug as found on AS lite lol ..I love it when you deal with what the driver defects then when everything is ok ,you get the most important snippet of info ,,ie the warning light that comes on intermittantly ,though you did spot the fault earlier...I have never knownanyone change the DPF on a Euro 6 ..I think it was over specced initally ,
@TRUCKTECHUK7 ай бұрын
How are you buddy! Ohhhh it's not like 'the dealer days' where it's done behind closed doors and it all comes to bits with a grinder and the customer picks up the bill for an 80-quid clamp. I've the customers watching me now and what sort of person would I be if I didn't at least try? Some of the customers I deal with would have welded a bolt-on that 😂 The video time is subjective to me as how do I even categorise these jobs that people would find useful? Take the SAC wiring....its now lost in some 3 video vlogs. my original content would have had a beginning a middle and an end. I don't know 😕 🤷 suppose things need to change but will it be for the better? I will have a look for some rubberised wiring, I was going to go with twin-core in a split conduit coil at about 10 meters.. I'd like to find them open circuits really! God knows what will happen if more go 🫣 I've had to do a few PCI-2 diagnostics, I'm looking at doing the XB and XD introduction courses when I can get on them as an independent as all I've got is the technical information currently. NGD will be out of warranty soon so I should be able to start including the videos here As for the DPF situation, it's annoyed me all weekend as I've seen the specification differences between EAS-3 and EAS-4! Can I find the info now? Can I hell!!!!! From what I remember euro-6 was a 16ltr system with a reserve capacity of so many ltrs and my-17 EAS-4 was reduced to 11 ltr capacity with no reserve 🤷 I just didn't include it if I couldn't quote it lol

DPF вырезают, чтобы не мешал дышать мотору. Почему занимаешься ремонтом на выезд? Я арендую гараж 20х12 метров под две фуры, весь инструмент в машину на выездной ремонт не поместится.

Hi! Another vote for longer videos 😅. We can't do that here unfortunately, I'd be in jail by now ha ha ha. So the best thing to do is fix the system. We do on-site repairs as its helpful for the customer, they don't need to bring it to a workshop and it's usually cheaper than DAF. As you know I only do diagnostics so I don't do repairs like springs and oil changes, so don't really need that much stuff 😂

Hi, thanks for the comment. It had logged an after-treatment fault for regeneration not able to be performed on the fuel shut-off valve, when I tested the component circuit....it was fine and when I tested its function I.e performed a regeneration, it functioned correctly which was odd. The driver then told me he had a red engine warning on the dash and I noticed poor starting which then I identified as an excessive fuel leak off from the high-pressure system. This will be investigated in a later video I think 🤔 The main thing was I'd removed the fault on the dash and made plans to address the other concern with the customer later in the month
