Shooting the G5 Deadmeat Elk hunting this year! Wasn’t sure if had the power. 458 grain Easton 6.5 match grade out of 70lb 29 inch Bowtech Carbon One.

Thoughts on using the MEgameat out of a Xbow shooting 400fps?

@@gcaskew not sure about that…the T2 I don’t think would be any issue at all as they have a very tight retention clip….i think you could reach out to G5 and they would get right back to you

The Mega Meats will work amazingly; just make sure you get them with the red collars, not the blue. The Blue collars are for compound. The Red collars are for crossbow. As of right now, they don’t have the T2 available in a crossbow version yet.

I’m really looking forward to the T2 for whitetail this year. I have always wanted to shoot the mega meats but I have heard and read lots of issues with blades bending and breaking. Now with the size of the mega meats cut I would expect a little bending but breaking is not good.

Killed a buck with the deadmeat and it ran 8 yards and ripped over dead. Was the first buck I killed with a bow in a tree stand (always western hunted) 42 yard shot. Never used the mega meats but the deadmeat got it done and it was a version one as well. The v2 is supposedly even better.

@@Netslayer69 I definitely need to look into that! That is a good point to that the dead meat has less length on the blades so that should equal less bending or breaking. I would love to see them make one in between the 2 sizes! That would be the best of both heads.
