What size reel and Radcliffe rod model do you have paired? Does it vary with different techniques? Thanks.

I'm using the Radcliffe Medium Light 7' and 6'9" Rods and a 2000 series Piscifun Reel

A medium action rod would be good for blades and rippn raps but medium light is perfect for 3/8oz jigs and lighter.

Chuck. I don't know if you aware of this or interested in it but there's a meeting at Eagle Point Lodge (Clinton) next Tuesday from 5-7PM. All the agencies will be there discussing the rehabilitation of the lower part of pool 13. Should be interesting.

Nice white bass + even nicer smallies + a rock bass! There are more than a few people down here trying to master your techniques. I think the struggles are mostly mental - you just have to gain that confidence in yourself!

@@markszablewski6619 No doubt. This is what I did to practice and what I tell people to try. With the high water. last spring and now I went back into a side channel, found a log jam with an eddy behind it and went to work. It's not glamourous -mostly drum- but they are more than willing to play ball with you. I've pulled up some nice walleyes and other fish as well.

Could not a more perfect channel to demonstrate the mississippi. You do it right! Tight lines, and I used your code to try the reel out. It'll go up against a shimano stradic, and miravel so we will see!

How 's the situation around pool 7? Cresting for now? All the models I looked at this morning have us very wet well into July. It's looking like 2019 again. The lower part of 13 has been great for cats and bass but I'm just about to check the lock and dam 13 ramp and I'm guessing it will be closed - that is the last ramp standing. Also, a 16 -9 channel cat stole the show at Bellevue flathead tournament last Saturday. The Rock is actually pretty steady at a foot below action stage. Cat bite is awesome. I talked to a guy the other day who said he's catching lots of smallies with some walleyes and white bass. I have a pretty good idea what he's up to, so I'll have to test my theory out.

The pool levels are still rising. I have not been out to try my luck. I’ve been using this time to get some highly procrastinated projects done. The river still calls me and it won’t be long until my next outing.

What way do you put the new spool of line on the ground when spooling label up label down or vertical line coming off straight at you? Just wondering because I tried that line and it twisted and came off really bad so I did something wrong.... thanks for your informative videos also what size reel is that new one
@AnglerX9 ай бұрын
You want the spool of new line to spin when spooling it onto a reel. Someone can hold the spool for you with a pencil through the center or set the spool in something that allows it to sit in a manner that allows it to spin as line comes off. Laying the spool on its side will twist the line as you found out. The reel I'm using is a 2000 series.
