Mississippi Two Day Blue Crab Trip Part 2

Blue Crab, This video is the 2nd day of our 2 day blue crabbing trip in Mississippi, we'll also be doing some fishing off the pier. We'll be crabbing with ring style traps and handlines using chicken necks for bait.
The action was slow for the first hour then the tide changed and the fishing and crabbing turned on. We ended up with a nice catch of blue crabs and a couple of white trout. Because it was our last day and the weather was bad we decided to wait until we got to Suwannee the next day to do the cooking. We're in the East Central Florida area. We crab a lot in the St Johns River. St Augustine is a good place to fish and crab. We also visit Mississippi often and go Crabbing and fishing. Thanks a lot for Watching

Can you use a fishing pole with heavy line for your crab drop net's? Could be easy.

Not with the wire drop nets because you have to pull them in fast or they can get out. Sometimes we use a fishing rod instead of a handline so we can get it out away from the pier. Thanks a lot for Watching our videos

In Florida there is no size limit but we don't keep small ones. When we're in Mississippi the minimum size is 5 inches point to point. Always great to hear from Australia
