Its been over 40 years since I worked on a tugboat outside of New Orleans. Not a bad life for a single man..The twin engine I worked on used two gallons of fuel a minute......I wonder how much this beast uses......Thanks for sharing.

It’s only 6200 HP. It was basically built for show. It hauls around state representatives and such also but it does move some barges from time to time.

Artco had a couple boats that were 10,500 hp. Size isn't everything, she's gotta have enough ass to push and 6300 is about good for 30 loads so. A 10,500 can push 48 out of Cairo
