Bless you for addressing the bullies..My edges and hair were thin before my locs.. I got locs to actually save my hair. I do understand where you’re coming from.. before my sisterlocs my hair was falling out the first year of my locs I lost quite a few locs but 6 years in I haven’t lost anymore in years..stress would cause my hair to fall out as well.. No one never really knows what a person can be going through.. love you locs been watching from day one..I still have some hair jewelry ( I didn’t make them) just something that’s light on the locs that I found that works for me. I started watching your Sister Loc Journey because you have a similar hairline and density to me. I decided against getting locs after my hair thinned even more when I had to suddenly stop taking a medication due to a bad reaction. I'm happy to see how well you are doing in your journey and may revisit getting sister locs once my shedding has stabilized. That old adage is still very appropriate - “If you do not have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” As black women, I would think that we are all very much aware that there are so many differences in our hair, edges, density, etc. I have thin edges and it is hereditary. I also take a lot of medication due to medical issues and I have found that my locs are thinning - especially due to my High Blood Pressure medication. You are right. Others should not pass judgment.

Girl, we've got the same issues with hereditary alopecia lol! All the women on my mother's side have or had that problem before they passed. The thinning starts at about 35 years old and progresses to full blown balding at the front crown and sides by the time they are 50. I am now fighting my own battle trying to keep as much hair as I can in those areas but as I age my hair gets thinner and thinner no matter what treatments I try so I must live with it. This is why I'm loc'd too. Some people just like to talk about things they know nothing about.
