@@anayaxo9007 I did that exact thing. I’m going to be 43 this year. I’m not entirely sure if my parents love me. So when I had my first son I made him a promise. I promised him he would always KNOW his mommy loved him. I thought of all the things I wished for in my childhood and did those things for my kiddos. So I ALWAYS tell them I love them. How happy and proud I am to be their mother and how proud they make me every single day. I made the same promise to my second son. I love yous, hugs, kisses and affection are freely given in my house. Then I trained my parents to be the same way with my boys. And something miraculous happened by doing this. Now my parents freely tell me they love me. It was very weird to get use to but it makes me so happy when I hear it. People are afraid of their love being rejected. So when they feel secure and know it won’t be it makes them become more open with their feelings. Life is to short not to show the people who are important to you that you care.

So glad you guys had the opportunity to do this, my family is Chinese as well but thankfully my mom and I were very close. I was able to say I love you to her often. Not so much my dad, both of them as well as my grandma passed away recently. I'm in my early 20's and never could have expected things to turn out this way. Honestly, it's not about doing or saying things before it's too late because no one anticipates sudden loss. It's about overcoming the feelings of guilt/regret and telling yourself that you did the best you could with what you knew because you will never be able to go back and change how you acted.

A friend of mine told me that love is expressed in more than just words. Every little gesture you did, I am sure they knew there was love in it. My grandma never told me she loved me too but when she went out of her way to make me all the foods I loved, I knew she loved me. When I found her sleeping with a picture of my family and I under her pillow, I knew there was pure love there. I am sure there were many similar small incidents that you did that your loved ones knew you loved them. Hope that brings you some comfort. You did the best you could. The other day I saw a snipped of a podcast recording that keeps being stuck in my head. These two people on the podcast talked about seeing ones family and one talked about how something a few years ago changed his perspective. So he asked: "How often do you see your parents?" And the other one answered: "About twice a year." "How many years do you think you have left with your parents? Say you think you have 5 years left with them, I don't think of that as I have 5 years left, I think of that as I have 10 more times seeing each other left". Oh the feels I'm telling you. It made me realise that even though my family lives mostly an hour or an hour and a half apart, we only see each other 4-6 times a year (when there isn't a pandemic) and that really struck me.

Duuude! You guys made me cry so much!!! Just hear you say “I love you” to your family really made me think about my family. We don’t say “I love you” to each other either because it’s we didn’t grow up with. But it shouldn’t have to be this hard. I relate to Mr. Mango Butt and his sister so much. Anyway, I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks guys!

This is so sweet. 💗 I can relate to this, always had a hard time saying it to my parents and grandparents. As I got older I started saying it to them and it got very emotional. Of course there’s so many ways to show love, but saying “I love you” to the ones you care about is very special 💗

At one point when I was young I was mad at my dad so when he said I love you I didn't answer, and he never said anything. I thought he would be upset and he just got quiet. Later my mom said it really hurt h Because it, takes a lot for him to say I love you. Growing up his dad never said it, and said that that's not something a dad does, "you should just know I don't have to tell you" but it always bothered my dad. So he always tried really hard to tell us kids he loved us

Saw this video for the first time and I burst into tears when Stephanie called her dad and after saying I love you she said I miss you and I felt that. It made me miss my dad. He passed away a few years ago and some things just hit you in the spots you think you have tucked away.

You know saying I love you to Asian parents is hard because they never express it but deep down we know they love us. I remember saying I love you to my mom and she cried .... :( So it's great to see this kind of content from you Stephanie and Mr. Mangobutt and his family.

I already own like 4 anker wall adapters; I bought one each for my brother, dad, and, mom and i got one for my significant other. I really recommend their power banks, I've owned a few different branded ones over the years (I'm a frequent flyer/traveler) so I always carry one on plane rides and have always loved anker power banks
