As a fellow depressed human, the "create your own hierarchy of needs" is genius and I will be doing. As a therapist in training, it's an even more genius directive to do with participants. ❤

I moved from my dads country to my moms country. Had been going to my mom’s country growing up a lot. When I moved here around 4-6 months in I was so depressed and sad and just couldn’t shake it off me. I read an article then that said when you move somewhere new and don’t really know anyone it’s difficult because you don’t have past experiences with any new people you meet, nothing to discuss about something that you both experienced at the same time and everyone is at a different stage in their life which makes it even more difficult to “click”. And that goes with places as well, from coffee shops to bars to your local supermarket, no connection at all. I now call that the 6-month-move depression zone where it feels like a mountain. And I warn people that want to move, about it. Focusing on yourself (as you are doing as explained in your video) and opening up to different experiences and people is very important. You’ve got this just one step at a time 😊

I too love books and Scotland and visited Scotland in 2022 and can’t wait to go back. A book series I think you should check out when visiting Waterstones again would be Outlander by Diana Galbaldon - Diana researches all of her novels to make sure the timeframe and events are accurate and it is also fantasy and takes place in Scotland and is about Scottish history too. This book series has brought so many tourist to Scotland so let me know what you think, it is also a series on STARZ. Take care.

@MarySkinner yes 100!! I have been in the exact same situation in Glasgow. Went to the ER early in the afternoon, gave my information (name, phone number, nhs number if you have one, proof of adress if you have one) at the desk. Waited maybe an hour and then explained the situation to the nurse. I saw the doctor and gave him everything (multiple prescriptions from my psychiatrist, printed out my medical history, a letter from doctor with signature and stamp, my official diagnosis and more lol). I had way too much paperwork with me, he is the one that told me previous prescriptions and proof of medical history is all they legally need for an emergency refill. However I have to warn you pharmacy's rarely have my meds on hand, I usually have to wait ~2 days Hope everything goes well for you 💛 and love love love your content ❤️
